@Hacco James Thanks Hacco for your shamelss display of troglodyte ignorance. But you’re a jehovordure, so no surprise about it.
prior to farting out BS get a little education and study who the fick invented the SHITTY AND NON EXISTENT characters ya talk about.
NO ONE of the gods invented by religions ever existed. especially the monotheist religions god are just good old SHIT.
but is typical of jehovordures and all fanatics of all religions to rely on veritable SHIT to give a meaning and a sense to their SHIT life.
my toilet paper has printed on it the faces, names and “sacred books” quotations of such TOTAL SHIT.
Needless to say that even my friends, some even muslims, catholics and protestant enjoy nature’s call my place.
But please start your education looking up the JCnot4me.com website.
You’ll enjoy the depth of evil, depravation and perversion triggered and brought about thanks to the puke ya adore.
then go back to school starting from kindergarten on all the way up to a serious degree.
however if mother nature did not endow you with grey matter you know what to do for the good of yourself and humanity.
have a good day shit-devourer (don’t get offended cos jehovah = jehovordure = jehowhore = shit, ya didn’t know it cos your brain and education and intelligence are crappy)
    Cheers

Jehova’s have always seemed like an interesting people to me. Some of the beliefs I just can’t wrap my head around, but all of the followers seem very down to earth and genuine. Looking forward to reading more great resources like this on your blog.

Happy and satisfied with life?? Haven’t you read how the JW’s suffer from depression more than any other religion? Just because they promise you will live on paradise earth, should you really believe it will come true? If you work in my plantation, be my slave for the rest of your life, I will promise you will be a God in Heaven for millions of years to come. Now, just because I promise you that, will it become true? Well, jw’s promise you life on earth, will that become true? Being a son of an elder you should know that jw’s have promised on many occasion the end was coming. 1914, 1925, 1975, the end of this generation, the end of the millennium and so on. The crap that people fall for is just ludicrous. I wonder if you were in prison for drugs as your brain seems to have been affected, or was that the silly propaganda that was shoved down your throat all those years of being a witness??

It never ceases to amaze me the silly things that people believe and all in the name of God.

I think it is time you stop smoking that crap!

I was raised in the JW organization. My father has been an elder for over 30 years. Me? Well, it is different from other religions. But, give it a chance. Really think about it. I haven’t been the poster child for JW’s by any means. But, I have served time in jail for something really stupid. Now, my point – who wants to go to heaven? That’s just silly! I am hear now, with so much to live for! Why would I want to die to just go float around some rainbow and be a peaceful spirit? Science and doctors have asked the question, and answered it with their own research – they don’t know why we grow old and die. You may not share all the ideas with the organization -I’m no fanatic… But, can you offer me any better hope?? They seem so happy and satisfied with life – is that so bad? Really?

If you are an Elder, how do you reconcile the date of 607 BCE with the generally accepted date of 586/587. I have read every scripture I can find relating to 70 years, and from what I see the 70 years that the nations would serve Babylon started in 609 BCE with the destruction of the Assyrian Empire by Babylon. This would match with the capture of Babylon by Cyrus in 539 BCE. As Jeremiah the prophet said the NATIONS would serve Babylon for 70 years.

Also the scriptures in Zachariah refer to a 70 year period and this is in the 2nd and 4th year of Darius the Great who started rule in approx. 520 BCE. So this 70 year period would again agree with the destruction of the temple in 586/587

Naw, my dear anonymous, what we would need is perhaps a doctrineless world.
Also cos if you know the bible well you know that the two characters named known as SATAN and YHWH (’jehovah’ for the hopelessly illiterate) are one and the same.
I don’t mean that this is true, we know that the bible’s worth is less than breaking the wind.

and the people that like the loathsome philosophy of religion cause problems too.
Look, if they killed each other I wouldn’t mind. Be my guest, fanatical assholes that glorify suicide, martyrdom, sacrifice, obedience, faith in bullshit and the outright denial of both humanity and their real feelings and needs. But why they have to break the balls to that enlightened slice of population that got it’s all bullshit?

    to Anonymous:
    Your comment does help.
Thru turning the YHWH word into ‘jehovah’ they have bastardized the lost original pronunciation.
To see how wrong this operation is, say your name is ‘frederick’ . Without vowels is ‘frdrck’. Then you arbitrarily add ‘a’ ‘o’ ‘a’ ‘i’ (the adonai vowels) and you get:
    fr’a'd’o'r’a'ck’i’ = ‘fradoracki’.
Moreover they turned the ‘Y’ of the jewish names into ‘J’.
So, let’s replace the ‘F’ of ‘FRADORACKI’ with, say, the ‘V’ ? Now we got another and further arbitrary mongrelization of the name ‘frederick’ : ‘VRADORACKI’.
Honestly speaking ‘vradoracki’ isn’t after all that sorry a name. But the mongrelish ‘jehovah’ sounds really sour to the ears. Sounds really ridiculous.
Does anyone really think that God would settle for such a preposterous label?
Almighty God can’t even protect his name…come on!
The fact is that such a deity has its roots in the dark pages of pre-semitic, heathen cults, cults where human and animal sacrifices where the norm as a symbol for atonement. Does this too ring a bell?
    have a good day

    Hi Anna,
I’m glad that another jehovah’s witness participates to this forum where they can speak freely and in civilized terms. Such a freedom you’ll never find in the congregation where they -to say the minimum- you get frowned upon if you dare vocalize an opinion of yours that is not in direct accordance to the very very latest watchtower “understanding”.
By the way, I’m a disenchanted JW and elder at that, but I better not get disfellowshipped cos my family and my business are very important to me.

    Anna,

You have been a JW for most of your life and at 17 years old, Armageddon should have arrived (at the last count) when you were -15 years old. My family also await it eagerly, think of all the billions (of silly people who never listened to you) dying in the streets.
Will you walk past a protesting infant, sorry kiddo, I’ve got eternal life your parents should have listened. So sorry for you, I’m off to feed peaches to the lions.
Lovely God you worship, send him my kind regards.

    Cheers,
    Markus

    Hi,

    a) Why Sunday? Sunday was the day of the resurrection. Early Christians wanted to gradually distance themselves from Judaism and its adherence to Judaic law. So, at some point the Sunday was chosen. As simple as that. This development is intersting in one other way: It shows that early Chirstians did not see Scriptures as an exclusive guide to all aspects of their lives. It is more accurate to say they saw Scriptures as part of their overall, living Tradition and pactice.

    b) In hebrew, only consonants are normally written. Vowels are sometimes indivated with little dots and such above and below letters.

At some point, Moses asked God for His name. The reply he got was a cryptic one: “JHVH” in our lettering, pronounced “Jahwe.” Translated, it roughly means “I am who I am”. Perhaps this was a way of saying, don’t ask that question? Certainly you were never supposed to use or speak this name.

Anyway, in the Jewish tradition it is against the law to speak the name of God. “Thou shalt not take the name of thy God in vain”….

So, what is there to do if it appears in the text and it is supposed to be read out aloud in a service? Simple, don’t say it, but say “the Lord” instead. This is exactly what Jewish people do to this day.

Now, the hebrew word for “the Lord” is “adonai”, where the vowels represented by dots are a,o,a, in that order. In a hebrew bible, where ever the word JHVH appears, the vowels for “adonai” are added, to remind readers to say “adonai”.

If we put these (wrong) vowels into the word JHVH, we get Jahova, or Jehova. (”JaHoVa”) There is no such hebrew word, it is simply a construction by people who don’t know hebrew properly.

    Does this help

    diamond;

I can answer only one of your questions, that is about the Sabbath. The 10 commandments were given to Moses and was a part of the “Law” that was for the Israelite nations. When Jesus came He declared that His law would be put in his followers hearts. When He arose from the grave, it was on the first day of the week. The apostles celebrated His resurrection on the first day of the week with the “Lord’s Supper”. Christians follow their example and celebrate with service to Him on the first day of the week. The Law of Christ is in effect today and not the Law of Moses.

I writing because of two questions, 1. I can’t understand why the sabath was changed in to Sunday. There is no scriptural reason. 2. YHWH how could this be translated to Jahovha? Hebrew hovah means mischeif or ruin. I really respect style and organization. Please respond to this for me. The time and consideration to this would be appreciated. Almighty God Bless all of you forever. Sincerely diamond

    hello,

im rachael and im 14 years of age, i have taken an interest to your religion and i have also began talking to a few jehovah witnesses at school.

my step grandmother (now deceased) was a jehovah all her life and so was my grandfather.

is there anyway- with no relatives (still alive) that i could convert to this religion i care so much about??

thankyou for taking your time to read this.

    Dear Sir/Madam
I am a mature university student and I am researching how Jehovah Witness children are expected to behave towards their elders, what type of food are they allowed to eat (if it is different from other religions) and what are they allowed to celebrate.
My research is for a profile on Jehovah witness children and how they can be helped to settle into an educational setting without causing them any undue stress related to their religion.
I hope you can help me with this information.
    Many thanks
