B. Rice's subscription list. Rice's subscribers came primarily from Herald of the Morning readers. The Herald encouraged subscription to his magazine. Barbour and Russell had an extensive list of Second Adventists. Barbour had been accumulating it since January 1874 when he invited interested parties to send him names of Adventists. It is footnoted and the research is verifiable. If the author of this paper had presented it in one of my classes, they would not have faired well. This is very amaturish.
