If you don’t mind, after all you took the time to write a long-winded comment that didn’t use one fact or substantiated piece of data/evidence to support your claims, I would like to reply to each of your statements. Feel free to respond, however use facts in the process, not arbitrarily collected snippets of emotionally based lunacy, and an infamous trait of the Watchtower Society. Using your actual statements here we go:

All of us ex-JW’s would have loved to see that this was indeed true, however nothing could be further from it. This religion is filled with hypocrisy and horrendous lack of love & compassion. My family is living proof of this; they only care about themselves, as they are ignorant, self-righteous and caught up in their own aimless lives. Their arrogance and lack of knowledge is their downfall unfortunately and reveals what a motley crowd they represent.
3. You are blasfeming God’s word and i think the consecuences are not gonna be pretty.
Is this a threat of some kind? The blaspheming of God’s word is based on what definition? Is the definition that which has been outlined to you in the Watchtower propaganda? The Watchtower Society is blasphemous to God’s word daily, based on their deception, false prophecy, lies & lack of love.
4. and about the child abuse thing i dont know anything about it but i do know that if someone is not doing what God commands they will be judged by him and i doubt they will live eternaly in paradise.

5. Oh and about the 1914 prediction thing well its when jesus was made king im sure you should know about how he was made king and stuff right?
Do yourself a favor and read the book Studies in the Scriptures (I believe volume 7) released at that time by Rutherford (lied it was Russell’s writings) and see how pathetic and laughable the prediction regarding this were. Do not read the Watchtower edited version, read the original. Secondly the Society at the time predicted the end of the world in 1914, not the start of the end, also seen in literature of that time period.
6. The dates thing that we got “wrong” well we are just putting things together and sometimes they dont come out right. so we start over and guess what we are imperfect and anyway only God knows the true date of armaggedon and we are in the last days of the system and you can see the prophecies are becoming true about earthquakes and hunger and stuff all that got worse ever since 1914. Its kind of hard for me to explain since i have english as a second language.
I almost left this comment alone, as it clearly demonstrates without any assistance how naïve and utterly ridiculous you sound. What does the book of Deuteronomy say about false prophets? As well, please provide statistical data to support claims of more earthquakes, etc after 1914.

Is this the biased edition of the bible released by the Watchtower you speak of? The edition that changed passages to ensure its agenda of the trinity issue was upheld? Is this the same edition that was apparently endorsed by Johannes Gruber, a known spiritualist? The same edition that inserted the name Jehovah where it didn’t belong, as well the same edition that was created by what biblical scholar(s)? Trust me when I tell you that many of us not only know more about the bible that you do, we also know more about this faith than you do. Take off the blinders and start to research this religion’s true doctrinal foundations, its association with the United Nations, it’s ownership of companies involved with weapons manufacturing, its secrecy in mishandling the pedophile problem and a whole lot more. You will not be supplied this information by the Watchtower Society, as they do not wish their followers to think for themselves and are not permitted to question any thing they do no matter how irresponsible.

The above statements are based on irrefutable substantiated facts, not some assurance that I or some organization is pushing a selfish agenda. If you want that, please revert to Watchtower inspired dogma, the ultimate lip service religion.

Thanks for the interest, my JW experiences are told in dribs and drabs around this site.
Not too much of an exciting story really, but I will summarize for you.
I came out of South African bush war in 1979, after doing my two years compulsory military service. I was in the medical cor, how I ended up there is a mystery, perhaps somewhere down the line it was noted I intended to become a veterinarian, which never did transpire. I spent my second year in a mobile field hospital (something similar to M.A.S.H.) in the then South West Africa and Angola. After seeing more than my fair share of guts and gore for my young age of 21, I was finally discharged and sent home.

My mother who had recently found the JW faith, was busy convincing the rest of my family to join, and boy was I an easy target. I was very taken in by their pacifist teachings, and before long I was attending most meetings. I had endless nights debating the blood issue in my head. My background in the army saw hundreds of folk being saved by blood transfusions. They should not be fighting in the first place, one part of me said. But you attended more to civilians than soldiers, the debate would go on.

I was baptized after passing the questionnaire in 1981, to my mother’s delight, and if I missed half a dozen meetings in the next 12 years it would be an exaggeration.
I was promoted to ministerial servant, what a privilege, more work for the same pay.
I was asked to run a book study Tuesday evenings, but I declined saying I lacked confidence which was true. I did fill in for studies on occasion when the regular
conductor could not make it.

Ironically, it was for one of these meeting I was preparing for when I bumped into Hos13:16 – The description of children being dashed to pieces, and pregnant women being ripped open, all on the command given by none other than Joe Hover.
From this day on, my days as a faithful witness were doomed.
I started missing meetings, eventually stopped attending altogether.
I did not stop reading the bible though, it became like a sort of fetish to me, evidence against Biblegod was mounting. It’s especially interesting that during 14 years of studying with the witness, not ONCE were any of these nasty scriptures made reference to.

When I came across the following scripture, I vowed never to set foot in another KH:
However, the prophet who presumes to speak in my name a word that I have not commanded him to speak… that prophet must die. …How shall we know the word that Jehovah has not spoken? When the prophet speaks in the name of Jehovah and the word does not occur or come true, that is the word that Jehovah did not speak. Deuteronomy 18: 20-22. From their own NWT.(If a wish could be granted to me, I would ask for this scripture to put up in the KH where the tri-monthly motivational scripture is placed, normally above or either side of the stage).

I was initially hounded by my family and members of the congregation to come back, but this soon died out after my pre-thought out response of “I love life too much to be wasting it”.
I was never DF’D neither did I officially resign, so it could be said that I still am a JW.

I’m now 48 years old and my biggest regret in life is that I never did read the bible in the army as was so recommended at the time.

I also get fed up with other so called Pastors, who drive around in their white Jaguars after being called by GAWD. It seems the Jesus business is good money business.

Since I found his site and after noticing how many people have suffered because of the JW faith, I make an effort to spread the TRUTH about the truth.

stop going to your endless meetings with immediate effect, take all these newly found hours and do something usefull or enjoyable. I do radio control aeroplanes and golf, the latter being more difficult than coming to terms with a brainwashing bible scheme, which is so easy and inviting, it’s scary.
This is YOUR life, don’t get fooled as I was for over a decade.
Two weeks ago I sent letters to 10 (TEN) kingdom halls, inviting them to a public debate (on their turf).
These letters were HAND delivered addressed to the attention of the presiding elder.
The subject being “God’s existance is impossible, according to the Bible, and scientific findings”.
So far the number of responces = ZERO.
One would think a polite phone call turning me down
could have been made, it seems the expense of 50c was too much.

Please may I point out to you as you are a practacing JW under there rules you should not even be looking at this site!!!!.
I have had a lot of experence of the Jw faith as me and my eight brothers were raized in this CULT as I realize that it is now after many years of being blind to its maliputive ways.
I have first hand experence of the abuse that goes on behind closed doors in this religeon, mine thankfully was not sexual but physical and mental. At the age of 15 I had to leave home having approched the so called elders on many occations to report my farther and mothers beating all of us at home,yet when we went to the meeting we all had to sit there pretending to be the most upstanding JW family in the congregation the model JWs they want you to be seen as.
Then we had to go round knocking doors to tell everyone how great it is only to be taken home and beaten with the rod of disapline what hypocrites.
The elders did not want to know when four of us plucked up the courage to approch them under the 2 wittness rule,even then my mother and farther(minasterel servent) lied there way out of it and of corse the elders belived them not wanting to shame there congregation.
A few years have gone by now but I personally know the people that were featured on the Panarama report and I actually went to that congregation,so if anyone tells me that these child abuse things were made up they should pop along to …. the congregation in question because they still have child abusers there athough disfellowshipped they still allow them in there kingdom hall full of children.
So gods true religeon expects me to take my daughter here to serve him surrounded by child abusers.

Also not featured on that program I can tell you that a family that was attending the same congregation there farther was sexualy abusing 4 of his sons and they kept telling the elders what was going on they did nothing for 5 years until finnally the police got involved and guess what suddenlly he was disfellowshipped he is now serving 10 years in prison.
If this is Gods true religeon this should never happen ok I can understand that things can go wrong in any religeon but this level of abuse is unaceptable in society never mind in a so called upstanding TRUE religeon that supposed to have a govining body with DIRECT LINK TO GODS SPIRIT.
THIS CULT IS A FINELY TUNED MONEY MAKING MACHINE PLAYING ON PEOPLES FEAR OF DEATH.
You only have to look at its history to realise this most JW as I was myself are blind to this thats why they keep destroying there previous publications.
I could go on for ever about how this evil cult has ruined many many lives and broke up familys I can count at least 20 people from two congregations alone who have either received physical mental or sexual abuse from this cult and its still going on now.
I will be visiting this congregation on April the 16th to confront the elders yet again about my parents still beating my one yonger brother who is still at home I dare say they will do nothing.
Still 20 years down the line I am still trying.

I think if you read the thread there, you will see how some JW’s utilize hatred & anger, although it merely reveals that they are repressed misfits, without the ability to reason, unless you believe like them, you know the ‘head in the sand’ method of ignorance. Despite repeated attempts to be nice, factual or even well-meaning, they go off the deep end in a tirade, apparently compassion, understanding & common sense isn’t required.

Camille (Comment ID: 1538), I will address a few of your points, otherwise I have a life and not interested in answering all of your comments.
1. Fri and I are two different people period.
2. The pedophile cases often do not make it to the courts, I agree that the parent(s) made perhaps a wrong decision, however many are often naive in such matters or are pressured to make such decisions. Whether these things happen or not is irrelevant. As far as two verifying a story, maybe you are new to this JW thing, I’m not sure, however this religion will stop at nothing to protect it’s image & holdings, even at the expense of a child’s life. NO MATTER WHAT THEY DO, SAY OR WHAT YOU SAY, IT DOES NOT EXCUSE THE BEHAVIOR PERIOD.
3. From my personal experience, I have met more ordinary, less naive & one-dimensional people in the so-called world than this religion. Groups or religions especially those that operate like the WTS, prey on & attract many people who have no life, are hopelessly in need of direction or are going through a tough time in their life. I knew of many JW’s that had or are still in need of therapy and/or spent time in mental institutions, etc. Yes, I knew some good people there as well, unfortunately many of them couldn’t be real friends, there was always that ‘pretend to be your friend’, however they would sell you out in a heartbeat if they perceived even a minor problem.

So in essence, I do not bother with a religion that has a SOP of a cult, has never made one correct prophecy, protects pedophiles, projects a pseudo environment of love & is filled with fruitcakes (nearly forgot)…PERIOD!
