Michael Jackson, Pop Star and ex-Jehovah’s Witness, dies of cardiac arrest in Los Angeles
Pop star and ex-Jehovah’s Witness Michael Jackson has died at the age of 50 after suffering a cardiac arrest at his Los Angeles home on June 25 2009. Michael was rushed to UCLA Medical Centre in a coma but doctors were unable to revive him. He was just weeks away from beginning his comeback tour in London.
On Watchtower Information Service articles about Michael Jackson were always very popular. Especially that Michael reportedly became a Muslim was greeted with applause by visitors from the Islamic world (see the comments in previous articles on Watchtower Information Service).
Michael Jackson and the Jehovah’s Witnesses
In an interview Michael gave in the year 2000 he was speaking quite positive about his Jehovah’s Witnesses past:
“As we grew older, [visiting the Kingdom Hall] became difficult, and my remarkable and truly saintly mother would sometimes end up there on her own. When circumstances made it increasingly complex for me to attend, I was comforted by the belief that God exists in my heart, and in music and in beauty, not only in a building. But I still miss the sense of community that I felt there – I miss the friends and the people who treated me like I was simply one of them.”
But this doesn’t mean that the Watchtower Society always appreciated Michael’s music. In 1984 the Awake! Magazine featured an article with the title “I Would Never Do It Again!”:
“In another popular video, Thriller, the performer is seen to transform first into a “cat person,” then a dancing “monster.” Evidently not wanting viewers to conclude that it promoted spiritism, the film begins with the disclaimer: “Due to my strong personal convictions, I wish to stress that this film in no way endorses a belief in the occult.—Michael Jackson.” Nevertheless, it was so realistic that some who saw it admitted that they were horrified at first. What was this short film intended to convey? And how does the performer, Michael Jackson, feel about it in looking back?
“I would never do it again!” says Jackson. “I just intended to do a good, fun short film, not to purposely bring to the screen something to scare people or to do anything bad. I want to do what’s right. I would never do anything like that again.” Why not? “Because a lot of people were offended by it,” explains Jackson. “That makes me feel bad. I don’t want them to feel that way. I realize now that it wasn’t a good idea. I’ll never do a video like that again!” He continues: “In fact, I have blocked further distribution of the film over which I have control, including its release in some other countries. There’s all kinds of promotional stuff being proposed on Thriller. But I tell them, ‘No, no, no. I don’t want to do anything on Thriller. No more Thriller.’”” (May 22, 1984 Awake! In the spring of 1987 Michael disassociated himself and was shunned by his former Jehovah’s Witness friends.

God doesn’t pass judgement and forgives us of our sins. Why oh why can we not follow by example? who is better than He? Everything as Michael tried to explain to us, is not always in black or white.
It still brings me to tears that this religious organization would ignore all the good that this man did in his lifetime; all the pains he went through to still diligently go door to door to distribute their messages; and then still have the elders to pass judgement on him. Michael loved that church and still tried to do all in his power to appease them. He was a working man, be it an entertainer. But he was so much more than his stage work. Were it not for the earnings he amassed during his career, he would not have been able to be the top human being in history to donate his earnings to charity. That should be more important than what man thinks. Just my opinion.

i believe micheal later realised himself,by saying that he will never do such a thing again.i really wished he repented and turned back to doing jehovahs will.
I strongly believe that Michael Jackson was a JW because if he were in the first place he wouldn’t be in the music industry, making money for his own wanting.

Blasphemy is irreverence toward holy personages and beliefs. One verse from the Bible that directly concerns the sin reads as follows:
“ Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. (Exodus 20:7 KJV) ”
In addition, it is spoken of in the Luke 12:10, where blaspheming the Holy Spirit is spoken of as unforgivable – the eternal sin.

only jehovah can decide what is going to happen with michael. we are always warned not love the world as it gives birth death. jehovah knows those belongs to him. if a righteous person left the path and do unrighteous jehovah does not take pleasure in that person. but still he is loving, kind, generous, for giving. every soul owes it in his hands.

Is Michael Jacksons mother going to raise Michael’s Kids? I have to say I hope so becasue they will be raised will good morals and values unlike this world who teaches immorality, and lying is ok. I am sure if Michael did not want his kids raised as Jehovah’s Witnesses then he would never left his kids with his mother. After all there are many people that Micheal trusted enough to leave his kids with, but no he left his kids with his mother knowing she is a active Jehovah’s Witness. Michael touched so many people with his music, and he will be missed!!

“for the wages sin pays is death” Rom 6:23. Michael has paid the price and will be resurrected. Regardless of how weird he seemed to most, he did have a gentle nature and I think his association with Jehovah’s Witnesses had a lot to do with this kind and gentle manner. His kids, I am sure, will be in good hands with Michaels mother.
Let Michael Jackson rest in peace. He has done many good things to this world, not only with his music but all his charities and helping organizations around he world.
His fame and life to the public eye has been ruined by everybody criticizing everything he did, especially the J.W. to which he always say good things about it. His messages were always about love and unity in the world. Hi was just as human and as imperfect as us so let’s stop pointing the bad things on people and look at ourselves to become better to us and to the eyes of God. Thank you.
Michael becomes the World and the World so Love him even make him an icon, idol and a demi. Thus, making his miserable at times. A lesson for everyone who wants to be a part of the World.
