@jh Dear jh, the things ya flush down the toilet: that is the trinity, the jesus the christo and jehovordure and the holy fart. then if ya get a living by being an erudite on this shit good for you, but there’s no debate anymore among intelligent people about the stinking crap the popes invented and called the unholy trinity made up of jehovordure, jesus the christasshole and the holy fart.
    Amen.

I just discovered this site. wanted to add to the debate. Many debate the Trinity. Personally, I do not believe in the idea that the FSH are the same and equal, however, I disagree with JW’s in where they place the son’s role today. Jesus said while ascending to heaven ” that all authority was placed on him by the Father”, and Paul said in Phil 2 taht every family owed it’s name to the son and every knee should bow. The Father is greater, however, the Father has given the Son the right to be worshipped and praised. Once the Son hands the kingdom back over the the Father, then the Father will be worshipped.

Since God and Jesus are figments of your imagination it is a question of it being one imagery or two, but seeing as it is all in the mind it could be any amount you desire.

The reason Jesus can not be Jehovah is because of the following. No matter how we look at John1:1 “was god” or “was a god”

It says “in the BEGINNING was the word, and the word was with god and the word was god/was a god”. Depending on translation.
The clue is the word BEGINNING, God has NO BEGINNING he is ETERNAL he was not created. This scripture has been is applying to Jesus while in heaven he is the first of all creation, the beginning of all things.

They say Jesus Christ is the son of God, and not God himself.

Jesus is not Yahweh, in hebrew his name is Yeshua, his fathers name is Yahweh.

    Matthew 2:2
“Where is he who is born King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east, and have come to worship (proskuneo) him.”
    Matthew 2:11
They came into the house and saw the young child with Mary, his mother, and they fell down and worshiped him. Opening their treasures, they offered to him gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. — World English Bible translation.

I am not with the JWs, but these heathen “wise men” (magicians) had no thought that they were bowing down to the Almighty Yahweh. They bowed before Jesus as a king; there is no indication at all in these scriptures that these “wise men” thought they were bowing before the only true God, Yahweh. The idea that Matthew 2:2,11 has anything to offer as proof that Jesus is Yahweh (the only true God who sent Jesus — Deuteronomy 18:15-19; John 17:1,3) has to be added to and read into the scriptures. In fact, these scriptures prove that the word “proskuneo” is not being used in the sense of the exclusive worship that is only due to Yahweh, for it should be evident that these “wise men” had no thought that they were bowing before Yahweh.

Who God has blinded, Jesus is God’s Son no part of the pagan three headed stone god. Jesus holds the keys to hades = the grave, he brings back the dead. God gave his Son the autority, Jesus didn’t give it to himself, nor pray to himself, nor worship himself.

    To anonymous above,

Yep you are correct Jesus is God. Due to the fact that there is only one very dodgy account of Jesus ever having existed historically, this account being by Josephus which has since been proven to be forged by later members of the clergy, I can but only agree with you. Jesus=God=No God.

    Cheers,

JW’s believe and teach that Jesus is not God, just look at John 1:1 in their bible, the end of the verse according to them “…the Word was a god” says that the Word (Jesus, (John 1:14), is a god other than the one true God. Think about that for a moment, if that is true then according to JW’s own bible they are breaking the first commandment (Exodus 20:3).

But if that is not clear enough, turn to Isaiah 44:6 “This is what Jehovah has said…’I am the first and I am the last, and besides me there is no God’. Now let’s cross-reference that to Revelation 1:17,18
17 And when I saw him, I fell as dead at his feet. And he laid his right hand upon me and said: “Do not be fearful. I am the first and the last,
18 and the living one; and I became dead, but, look! I am living forever and ever, and I have the keys of death and Ha’des.

Clearly Isaiah was talking about God (YHWH, Jehovah) and Revelation is talking about Jesus, in both examples there can only be and is only one (1) first and last.

    Jesus is God!

The more common understanding amongst Christian is this.

“Who or what was Jesus” is a very common question and the answer is found in understanding the Trinity and the incarnation of Jesus.
The Trinity is the doctrine that there is only one God in all existence. This one God exists as three persons: The Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are not three gods, but one God. Each is a separate person, yet each of them is, in essence, divine in nature.
A close analogy of the Trinity can be found by looking at the concept of time. Time is past, present, and future. There are three “aspects” or “parts” of time. This does not mean that there are three “times,” but only one. Each is separate, in a sense, yet each shares the same nature, or essence. In a similar way, the Trinity is three separate persons who share the same nature.

    The Incarnation

The doctrine of the incarnation in Christian teaching is that Jesus, who is the second person of the Trinity, added to himself human nature and became a man.
The Bible says that Jesus is God in flesh, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God…..and the word became flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:1, 14); and, “For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form” (Col. 2:9). Jesus, therefore, has two natures. He is both God and man.
Jesus is completely human, but He also has a divine nature.

    GOD

    He is worshiped (Matt. 2:2,11; 14:33; 28:9)
He is prayed to (Acts 7:59; 1 Cor. 1:2)
He was called God (John 20:28; Heb. 1:8)
He was called Son of God (Mark 1:1)
He is sinless (1 Pet. 2:22; Heb. 4:15)
He knew all things (John 21:17)
He gives eternal life (John 20:28)
The fullness of deity dwells in Him (Col. 2:9)

    MAN

He worshiped the Father (John 17)
He prayed to the Father (John 17:1)
He was called man (Mark 15:39; John 19:5).
He was called Son of Man (John 19:35-37)
    He was tempted (Matt. 4:1)
He grew in wisdom (Luke 2:52)
    He died (Rom. 5:8)
He has a body of flesh and bones (Luke 24:39)

As a man, Jesus needed to pray. When He was praying he was not praying to Himself, but to God the Father.

Good advise in regards to asking us lots of questions because Jehovah only wants those with a humble heart and with the fundamental ability to discern between what is right and wrong, as well as what is true and what it’s not. As to not being able to question anything after being baptized, let’s just put it this way…would you question the existence of wireless or analog signals just because you don’t see them? Would you question the result of chaos and order? Would you question gravity? Would you question molecular biology and it’s effects on the world when man begin to manipulating it? I’m sure you would wonder how each of this technologies and concepts work and you would want to know how they work, but if you challenge them, what good are you going to bring to yourself and to those who surround you? Are you going to gain anything if you question Jehovah’s authority, creativity and loving kindness? If you do question any of this things, then you are questioning everything that you got baptized for. So if you are the type of person that questions everything to gain nothing, then becoming a Jehovah’s Witness is not for you. If you question everything with a humble heart to gain knowledge and understanding about how Jehovah works and who he really is, then becoming a Jehovah’s Witness may be for you.

The Bible says that He is Jehovah’s 1st and only begotten son, the sole heir to the thrown, the appointed High Priest, the mediator between Jehovah and humanity whom will help raise it to perfection during the 1,000 year reign that the Bible foretells. He is NOT God, or Jehovah as many believe. As a matter of fact, the Jewish establishment’s main problem with Jesus when he was here on earth was the fact that he claimed to be the son of God, not God himself. If the latter would have been the case, the Jewish establishment of the time would have killed him sooner because it would have been considered blasphemy for anyone to to claim that they were God themselves. If you read the Bible context, you will find that Jesus is called a God, just like Jehovah called Moses a God when he said that he will make him a God amongst God’s covenant people, but you will never read that either Moses or Jesus claimed to be God themselves. As a matter of fact, Moses & Aaron were not allowed to pass to the promised land because they failed to honor Jehovah when they miraculously made a rock pour water, and Jesus himself said that he was not aware of the time and day when the conclusion of things was going to end. If you want to go deeper, Abraham and Issac were a representation of Jehovah and Jesus Christ when Abraham was willing to sacrifice Issac. Abraham’s unselfish act to kill his only son, represented Jehovah’s unselfish act when he sent his son to die for humanity’s sins. I can give you a Biblical lecture, but it would take a long time, but I hope this helps a bit. If you have any more questions, please post them & I’ll answer them. Man, I love this website.

The truth according to the rest of mankind is just another way of calling it, “the excuse of mankind” not to believe in Jehovah and his son Jesus Christ. The truth is that there is someone very powerful behind all of this that is blinding the minds of of this world, and that only a few have chosen not to believe in it. If you think about it, compared to the Jewish establishment back in the 1st century A.D., the 1st Christians were few and counted and were going against the “truth” of the Jewish establishment. The same is happening today. The “few” 7 million in comparison to the 8 billion people in this world have chosen to do the same as the 1st Christians…to go against the grain of secular beliefs and lies. I would rather be against the world and think for myself, then to go with the world and be a puppet.

Always keep your mind and heart in the right place. Having questions is always good and you should ask your teacher and/or an elder in the congregation, don’t think that there are certain issues you cannot talk about when you are baptized. Being baptized is not a bad thing, meaning, you cannot do certain things once you commit. This view is not correct, instead if you have a question about christian living or lifestyle, or service, etc. ask your question to a mature brother and look up more info on the watchtower cd, etc. The answer is there. There are a few things for which there is no answer, in that case my friend, just be patient as we all have to wait for Jehovah and the faithful slave to give us an answer in the near future.

    Kind Regards,

    AL

Fred, if you are studying with the JW I would ask questions now, lots of them, because once you are part of the fold (baptized) you will no longer be able to question them about certain issues that you don’t agree with. You will be told not to question the faithful and discreet slave.
