Well i have a 13 year old little brother who wants to be a JW. Ever since my grandfather read the JW bible in front of him, my lilttle brother cant stop talking about becomeing one of them.I myslef have not been bapatized yet and the JW would be last i would pic for my religon.THose people are all talk and liars it makes me so angry they got my baby brother trying to become one of them i belive their is a god i just dont belive any of what the JW say. Is their anyone their to help me with this situation. and yes i’ve tried and tried talking my little brother out of this but he told me that he thinks all catholics and all other religons are fake? PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

I beleive that there are bad and good people everywhere. Jehovah’s Witnessess need to understand that people on the outside are looking at them like they look at the Show Sister Wives. But it is very, very wrong to conclude that if someone criticizes human flesh and blood ( Jehovahs witnesses are still human beings, right?) that they are criticizing God. That makes Jehovah’s Witnesses seem more like a Man led religion. God is bigger than all of us. JW’s why don’t you acknowlege that people were are are hurt by people who are abusing Jehovah’s love and stop denying that this takes place and by all means – stop justifying the horrible act of incest or child abuse by saying that jehovahs witnesses are better than everyone else. If you are really looking to find kind caring people who have brains, then you are stumbling people. But to totally deny and say that anyone who states that they have been molested makes you a liar and an actual danger to the congregation. Because you are led easily and do not possess any discernment. Jehovah is a God of love, and you people are totally creeping out anyone who may be interested in a religion THAT IS NOT ALL FULL OF NUTS AND CREEPS. Only someone is is afraid of the truth would actually tell everyone that states this that they are a liar., Truly have faith, and stop being so lukewarm. Jesus threw out the hypocrites in anger. It is time that JW’s do the same with the evildoers in their congregations. JW’s – the truth sets everyone free. It is time that elders lead by confessing their sins and have a year of repentance and atonement. If elders do not lead, then sorry- JWs have fallen to the same bad arrogance that every other religion has fallen to. The bible clearly teaches to put away sin, to care for the broken hearted. I want you JWs to ask yourself – would you let a person who was suspected of molestation alone with your children? Elders – do you make decisions based on compassion and truth, would you want people to treat you or your daughters the same way you treat other people? Jehovahs Witnesses’ biggest criticism is that they are brainwashed and cliquish. Elders who have not fallen to wickedness should begin to confront this. God does see all. If you think that a simple confession will wash away your sins, and if you are more concerned about image, than the hurting of your flock, then you have a fate in store for you that is beyond comprehension. Oh, and for those of you who think being a JW is some sort of game that you will smoke pot, fornicate commit adultery, know that your neighbors slam the door on JW’s because your hypocrisy stinks. I am sick and tired of people saying, “well, I confessed my sins, serve my disfellowshipping sentene” and now I’m back in (to justify more sex, drugs, etc.) Elders, you know in your heart what is right. Serve Jehovah or serve man. That is the choice in these closing times. Just think of how many more people would want to become believers in Jehovah if the fake JWS were thrown out.

As for pedo’s,i was left alone with numerous witnesses as a child from 3 years upwards and never molested or anything like that,EVERYONE i know hates pedophiles.

In any organization there is going to be corruption, people there for the wrong reasons,put it this way if i told an elder there was a pedo in the congregation he would report to police straight away,if he didn’t then i would report him for perverting the course of justice as well as the pedo.

Here’s the truth-whether you deny it or not- my husband & I went to the JW Corp HQ in Brooklyn- along with 2 retired FBI agents who polygraphed me 3 times. We had a signed statement from the pedophile, signed and dated by the freak, saying 4 reasons why he liked my 12 yr old daughter whom he molested for 71/2 yrs (along w/52 pcs of court docs etc as proof of domestic violence, tax evasion etc). Corp HQ admitted it was wrong, and swore they’d fix it all, and promised they’d get back to me…. the FBI taped it…so you can’t say it didn’t happen…what did the Corp HQ of Jehovah’s Witnesses do to “fix it”??? NOTHING–it’s been 3 years—and they haven’t allowed me to talk to my mother, 3 daughters, and 5 grandkids since 1997!! Jehovah’s Witness Corp LIES.. which is a disfellowshipping offense according to the secret elders’ manual!!! Don’t believe ANYTHING they say!!!!

It truely sadens me the sexual abuse some people have been through at the hands of this cult. I was never sexually assulted i did not think that could happen in Gods organisation. My association with this cult has almost destroyed my life. I was so scared of dieing at armageddon. To block it out i turned to substance abuse in a major way. I am a single dad i was scared to look at the paper incase i seen the headline reading. True peace and securety or world peace because it ment i would have to kill my children in the vain hope i could save them. I would take them to school footy shopping and no one new what i was thinking. No wonder i was an angry man. I have been doing a lot of research about the JWs and i can not beleave the crap they beleave. The JW heirarky should be tortured and steaked out on an ants nest untill they die. then go to hell when they meet God. It makes me so angry the way they make you feel about yourself. I never felt good enough, i thought i was a failure. There answer to everything is that your heart condition is not right. I still beleave in God but my God is a God of love. I am writing a book. It is called Born and raised in a religious cult and brainwashed from birth. I hope to get it published. I hope it makes me $$$$$$$. But most of all i hope it will help stop someone from falling in to the JW trap. I also hope it harms the religion. My mother sister eldest sun & most of my rellies are JWs. I hate to break it to you anonymous but what you said isn’t true! Not at all. I was a witness for 14 years and we had a “brother” ,who was the son of an elder, molest 7 children in out Kingdom Hall. The priority of the “elders” was to protect the pedofile and not the victims. The authorities were never notified even though we are told in the bible to follow and respects laws that do not conflict with God’s laws. I’m pretty sure God disapproves! Don’t you think? I’m petty sure these children deserved justice and protection, especially from their congregation members and legal authorities. And I know that anyone who hurts children deserves to pay for it. They need to be jailed forever at the very least!!! The congregation child molester was never disfellowshipped. He grew up and got married to a sister with 3 children. His wife had no idea about his past so she didn’t have an opportunity to protect her children because she wasn’t protected either. The only one protected is the one who continues to hurt those around him. Shame on all the ones who decided to keep this a secret!!!! Shame to those who lacked love in their hearts to care for the innocent children. I do have faith that one day God will judge these ones and only then will true justice take place.

It’s so sad to hear all these kind of negativity about JW’s but as a JW I stand to what “joseph” said that JW “THEY DO THEIR BEST TO UPHOLD BIBLE STANDARDS. WHILE THERE ARE WOLVES IN EVERY RELIGION.” Acts 20:30 “and from among YOU yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves.” For those people who said that they were a “witness” and got disfellowed, i guess they don’t really understand the reasons why. Hebrew 12:5, 11- 5 but YOU have entirely forgotten the exhortation which addresses YOU as sons: “My son, do not belittle [the] discipline from Jehovah, neither give out when you are corrected by him; 11- True, no discipline seems for the present to be joyous, but grievous; yet afterward to those who have been trained by it it yields peaceable fruit, namely, righteousness. I had been disfellowed but happy to say that I’ve been reinstated and happily serving Jah again. I had trials in my life & thought that i would never overcome them but HIS always there for me. Never blamed HIM or any JW’s for any obstacles in life. For WHOM HE IS A LOVING KIND FATHER, 1JOHN 4:8,16.
How do you describe Satan? The DEVIL right? The RULER of the wickedness. How do you describe the world? Full of Distress, am I right again? YES. SO, you see Satan is ruling the earth, so we shouldn’t be Blaming JW’s or JEHOVAH GOD for our bad acts instead we should pray and ask for HIS GUIDANCE and we should not lean upon our own understanding. PRAISE JAH GOD!

It’s so easy for people who might never commit horrible acts to say they don’t happen, everywhere not just in kingdom halls. I am one of many people who was an abused child raised as a sister. I was abused, for over 11 years. I am not going into a discussion there.

Here’s what hurt me the most over the years:

There was a general sense of disbelief in the congregation which I actually understand, most people wouldn’t do it and by it’s nature find it hard to believe but it’s vital, especially when there is a police case, arrest, confession, prison sentence etc. to know that chances are the victim isn’t lying just because the police and the justice system are “worldly” institutions.
Giving unto ceasar what’s ceasars also means working with the judicial system instead of trying to keep things internal.

Yes, most people are blind to signs of abuse and sometimes really miss whoppers. Chases are you probably have. It’s not good enough to either deny this or get mad at us, this sort of thing happens every day and usually to the people you least expected. People aren’t perfect, if things look perfect, chances are they *really* aren’t. I don’t blame most people I knew for not seeing but I find it just staggering there are still people who absolutely believe this can’t have happened because they didn’t see it.

Incest and sexual abuse affects more than the victim and the abuser. It affects everyone close to either person. Don’t underestimate this or downplay this. It rips whole families apart. I have seen my aunts and uncles struggle just as much as I have. Please don’t forget about them.

I spoke with other elders after everything came out. Please don’t tell us we need to forgive anything, this is an internal process much like mourning, and much like mourning you can’t tell someone how to mourn, how long to mourn, and what to feel or not to feel. To do so is adding insult to injury. People who have dealt with sexual abuse may never, ever forgive, or feel they did and yet feel intense rage years later. When standing in judgement before God I will have to answer for whether or not I can forgive those that have hurt me so much and for so long, but I won’t at least have to stand in the shoes of my abuser. I think I like my shoes better whether I eventually learn to forgive or not.

Please don’t try to compare what happened to a much worse case you read about somewhere, or saw on the news. There is no consolation in it whatsoever.
There is no sigh of relief “it could have been worse” it only tells me you really have NO idea what it feels like and aren’t sure how to deal with this kind of situation. and PS we may very well have seen a lot more than you know, we don’t actually like having to go into graphic detail a lot and may not even see the full picture ourselves until later. I thought it was perfectly normal to have to ask before changing my clothes, or to have to ask what to wear rather than picking it out of my closet myself. I wouldn’t have considered arguing but I wish I had. You may find something like that relatively small but I’ve talked to some other people who were abused and you’d be surprised what people may feel is normal when it’s all you know. It’s pretty common that you don’t really register just how controlled you are until you’re not. Especially when you’re a Jehovah’s Witness you are already different from most of the people around you, it’s easy to consider it just one more thing..

He was NOT disfellowshipped. I know any Jehovah’s Witnesses reading this find this part hard to believe but I am telling you the truth, I hope that you realize the risk other young brothers and sisters are in when you are blind to this. It’s not just the priests that you find worldly but also in your own numbers. So ignore this is at it’s least naive.

Please don’t try to reconcile the abuser and the victim. That bond is broken to a point of being unmendable. To try to force a reunion means you return a victim to the status quo. What do you think the outcome would be?

Ask “why didn’t you tell me (sooner?)?” or “why didn’t you fight more?” we were doing the best we could. We obviously told someone or you wouldn’t know so better than most.

As someone who has seen more than my share, please understand that victims tend to think with their heart, it’s their heart that sees them through these times. I know I too was taught the heart is inferior to the mind, but I tell you that true healing happens when you can feel love after having been hurt. Feeling love requires that you feel the anger that pain brings (and pretty much everything else there is to feel lol), in the end it’s the same thing. A broken heart doesn’t feel, a person who can hurt, rage and love is anything but brokenhearted.
May that heart become strenght. The heart and mind aren’t as seperate as you may think.

Please don’ think because we have some behavioral problems that we must be lying about the abuse. Lying like anger doesn’t come alone. Anger covers up pain, lying fear. It’s a way to survive. I know some people have lied about abuse but most people really aren’t lying and it’s probably taken years to talk about it. Don’t shut us down. If ever there was a sign of abuse, acting out, being confrontational or very avoiding, lying, being too overly kind are all signs. Yes, I have always had a lot of imagination as a child, but this is very real. Please remember we’ve been taught these behaviors by somebody who’d rather keep us quiet. It’ll take time to unlearn these..

I am no longer a Jehovah’s Witness. it’s a shoe too small a size for me. It may have fit once upon a time, but never will again, but know that I remember those I cared about when I was young. I still think of brothers and sisters with love, I just wish you’d isolate people like me less, it’s the most damaging thing I can think of in my yought. The same sense of us vs the world is what keeps an incest victim quiet is within most of the teachings of Jehovah’s Witnesses. built in, because Armagheddon’s comming, because the rest of the world is under the influence of the devil trying to catch a few more souls.. because that sort of thing doesn’t happen in the “truth”.. it’s the perfect hiding place for any predator. Please know this. We are here now, abuse happens probably more than some other groups because offenders do know what they’re doing, and are drawn to groups seeking to isolate themselves, and if you believe nothing else you should know you try to stay as seperate as you can from the rest of the world, please understand that this makes it easier for even some pretty terrible people to conceal themselves. You can’t completely prevent it, he was an elder, he was never disfellowshipped, even though he confessed to the police he started lying after he came out of prison and was still not disfellowshipped, very few people wanted to talk to me in any other way than to have me help him rehabilitate. I was so young, I look back now as an adult, I look at my own kids, and I just don’t understand.. how can you leave kids that alone? What you do when you find out about abuse makes a difference in lives such as mine.

I was born a jw and its true it was a elder in cincinnati who got disfellowship for molestation and the police were never informed and he is still there around kids.it is a cult ,ibeen thru so much it would take years to tell the story.my mom. The Problem is that he is not lying about what happened to him.
You evidently have the “Ignorant and being led factor” changing your brain to call someone a liar when you did not live his life.
I have been around them since 1960… they are a cult under the guise of representing God.

If you are so scared of the world do something to change it instead of waiting for God to turn on the switch that will transport you to Paradise.

Excuse me, but um…THAT”S SO A LIE!!! I am a Jehovah’s witness and I know for a fact that anyone who sexually harassed someone in our congregation would be disfellowshipped. Read 1st John 4:8 it says that Jehovah is LOVE. I am someone who is currently growing as a Jehovah’s Witness and the only thing that keeps me in the religion is my safety. I don’t want to be apart of the world and aparently you need to go to this Sunday’s talk. It deals with liars and people who call us a cult. One of the boys in my congregation is baptized and told me that Jehovah listens to everyone’s prayers. Even if they aren’t a witness. Read Mathew 7:13,14!

Well its your brain and you can believe what you like. Personally I would stay away from a religion founded by a mason, and has real blood on their hands like the killing of innocent children by brainwashed parents failing to allow their child a full life as they did not allow blood transfusions. How about the others that came down with diseases when the JW did not allow inoculations? How about the many families that have been broken up because of disfellowshipping? Read all the articles on this site, they are accurate and are true. Most JW are good folk who are ignorant of the real facts around this religion.

I’ve been one of JWs, was disfellowedship and after about 7 years I went back to be reinstated.

I’ve studied many religions, but I believe JWs are the ones most on target.

I have a questions of this person who probably was molested but has some real issues with actually knowing how the Watchtower Society is run. The biggest issue is the fact (I have now been a JW of over 30 years)…pioneers, Ministrial Servants, Elders, Missionaries and traveling overseers are not really paid. Missionaries and Travel Overseers have some bills paid for them. But Elders, servants and pioneers work for free. Like a second job…volunteers.

It is a tradegy that this persons hurts were not addressed. Sometimes people don’t see what they need to see. But believe me…Justice will be done, Jehovah God is Almighty and He sees. And his son Christ Jesus will not tolerate injustice…they will repay.

it a shame what happen to the guy and the person that raped him is still in an elder do you guys think about the kids its a darn shame that you guys let him run a hall with him in it and the mothers and father better watch there kids since you guys are not leting a boy get raped by an elder wow thats as low as it gets i hope jehovah strikes you died when the is here

Dear Laura, you do have some concerns. If I were you I would have a lot of concerns! If you want to study the Bible, you can do it with less sectarian folks.

I am currently studying the bible with the J.W. however I do have some concerns about this sexual abuse issues. It is true that they do cover up this things because they want to have a good reputation in society and in the world, they don’t want to be looking bad and is better to have one suffering that a whole congregation or many of them. I read in many publications of the J.W. magazines to keep quiet if something like that happens to you. It is cruel and evil and even though not every J.W. is like that we do have to be careful in any religion to watch for this stuff. And just one advice to give here to anyone who has children. No religion is worth the safety of your child so always, always believe what you children have to say. Thank you.

Look, another mindless JW. One of my friends was DF’ed for smoking. I don’t agree with this practice for health reasons; however I still cannot find it in the Bible.
