Did that surprise you? It shouldn’t, children being spanked happened in every hall I attended.
If you love your child don’t spare the rod. So, the more you beat them the more you show people you love them. Hypocrites!

I have been involved with Jehovah’s Witnesses for over 10 years. I remember a “brother” that would take his little girl into the back bathroom and beat her during the meetings. You could hear the ordeal from halfway down the kingdom hall. No one said anything. They just ignored the sounds.

You are very lucky or should I say fortunate (luck not allowed by jw, he..he..he..)that you had good parents. However I find it very hard to believe that if you decide to stay home on a meeting day or not go field service on the weekend your parents would just be fine with it, and likewise the 100’s of your friends. Are you sure your parents are jw’s????

On the other hand there are a huge percentage 90% up that treated, treat, will treat their children very badly due to the information coming from the WT. How many times have you heard my friend from the podium in forms of talks not to spare the rod?

I wonder what kingdom hall you go to as all the ones I attended were certainly different from yours.

Interestingly enough I was raised a catholic, and went to board catholic school at the age of 10. I have to say for the many years I stayed there I was never molested nor were my friends. So what is your point????

Should I feel violated perhaps they did not find me handsome enough?????

i have grown up as a witness and never ever been treated badly by my parents or forced to do anything i didnt want and the 100s of friends i have grown up with are exactly the same. since we abide by the Bible and therefore follow Jesus example we do not believe in treating anyone, especially not children in such a manner. the people that do and at the same time “CLAIM” they are witness are deluding themselves, they are not truly Jehovah’s Witnesses.

This sounds alarming like my childhood, when sometimes we were even beaten in the kingdom hall. My dad used to say “assume the position” too.

Believe it or not, there are many many of these cases out there.

My wife has lived similar events by her mother (a jw’s) when she was a young girl.
One morning at the age of 11 she (my wife) could not find the blouse her mother wanted her to wear to the kingdom hall, her mother spanked her so badly with a metal pipe from those old Kirby vacuum cleaners that she was not able to sit straight in the school chair for over 2 weeks. Also during the madness she craved her nails along the arms so hard that blood came out. She still has the scares to prove it. Also, my wife had to wear long sleeve shirts all summer long so that people would not find out what happened. This atrocities, only for not finding the shirt.

This is the long belief of corporal punishment among JW’s
