Video of a Jehovah’s Witness elder 'twisting' the Truth in Court
In this video an elder states that disfellowshipping is a congregational matter and not a family matter and that Jehovah’s Witnesses don’t use the word ‘shunning’.
He talks positively about disfellowshipping saying that “for every six or ten people you bring on here that have bad experiences [with disfellowshipping] I can bring a hundred people that have been disfellowshipped … who will say it is the best thing that happened in their life”. Watch the video!
Twisting the truth is not considered as lying by Jehovah’s Witnesses according to their literature:
“While malicious lying is definitely condemned in the Bible, this does not mean that a person is under obligation to divulge truthful information to people who are not entitled to it.” -Aid to Bible Understanding, pages 1060-1061
Some details about this trial:
Custody Case 1997-2005 USA
“Mr. M shall not directly or indirectly expose or allow the children to be exposed to shunning of their mother, or to engage in any family contacts or religious activities that directly or indirectly suggest or expose them to teachings, scriptural interpretations or declarations that Mrs. M is anything less than a good and honorable person and fully worthy of designated, implied, inferred, promised, reserved, assumed, or otherwise available, obtainable or receivable, so called spiritual blessings or rewards which might be obtained or available to faithful religious persons, including faithful members of the JW church. This shall include his exposure of the children to family members, church teachers, preachers, or other advocates of the JW church or to any condemning doctrines or activities. Mr. M shall not have, suggest or cause any religious communications with the children, advise them regarding religion or direct or advise them regarding what their personal conduct or religious activities should be, or monitor their activities to determine if they are in compliance with his religious beliefs, while they are with Mrs. M.”
“The court believes this conduct negatively affecting the children’s relationship with their mother should stop or be condemned. This church judgementalism, coupled with the malicious use of false accusations against their mother and her husband by their father, has nearly frightened these children away from their mother and her husband even though she is a sincere caring mother. Recognizing the children’s concerns and fears, the Court ordered that Mr. M be granted custody of the children, at least for the past year. This was granted notwithstanding the terrible wrongs he has perpetrated against his ex-wife and her husband. (Defendant) is treated as spiritually dead by the JW church and the extended family who are members. This ridiculous concept of people judging others appears to be a strong part of the religious judgementalistic doctrine and is apparently required of the members of the church.”

@James NON-JW
Spot on! All you say is the “truth” you say it for no other reason than it is so bloody obvious! It is very scary that people cannot plainly see this for themselves. It shows how a fearful child will cling on to a bad parent even if it is destroying them. Its this part of the adult mind that is open to any cult taking up ownership of it. Yes stay awake people-stay awake, your protector is in fact your abuser. Your spiritual food is laced with posion.
Theocratic warfare/law strategy, means that according to the WTBTS it is ok to lie to protect Gods Organisation. Lying to anyone at all. This policy knows no bounds and is used against the congregation. This protects, no justifies all the inconsistencies, the prophetic dates all mis-tol. The fantascticalnotion that Jesus came down in 1914 and chose the JW’s as Gods organisation. And then there is the UN membership and the paedophilia scandals ongoing. Two witness to prove any abuse rule. Concequently there are a very high number of abusers that prance about so kindly, guiding and guarding the flock, regardless of their known danger to children.
This all indicates that it, “The organisation” is as a immature stupid bully with no self control no conscience or accountability and contains all the characteristics of a sociopath.
Its all projection, the organisation project its own wrongdoings out into the world and into others and thus create an looming Armageddon type explosion, one that scares the flock into moving in closer to the wolf, that is disguised as a head sheep.
The fear and the exhaustion and the need to run and hide disables all critical thinking, as does the monotonous repetitive and loaded with the them and us references, the endless fear and hate based meetings, hate that at any moment could be turned onto anyone of the congregation who displays a “independent willful spirit” It’s a classic abusive relationship- on mass.
Foul to encourage people to hate other people. I hope with all my heart that this organisation will be brought to its knees very soon. This is the “wicked system of things” that must be wiped out before it sacrifices any more humans lives and liberty for nothing more than profit. They don’t want the world to end. No as they profit too much from spinning the “keep Awake” message. Scrutiny is being cleverly diverted away from where the real evil lies. Its not the wicked world it’s the wicked faithful slave one must be watchful of. Who will watch the watchmen?
@JOBY
well I am not a Catholic but what you is total nonsense-Catholic church is Gospel based as any catholic school kid can tell you. THE CATHOLIC CHURCH IS NOT SATANIC! There is NOTHING NO NOTHING in the bible that links the RCC with the harlet -you sir are very misimformed or just igronant. Seems the JW church is anti Catholic also and it is people fearing wwhat they do not understand. It saddens me to see so called christians bashing other christians
So sir educate yourself sbout out catholic frieds before yo bash them and may God Forgive you for your hate
I would say that most JW are living the double life. They dont really believe it but the price of leaving would be too high.
I believe that all personal opinions are questionable ?
But more than wrong !
Are these so-called inspired : false teachers of the
Jehova Witness , who critizise the other religios grou-
ps , But with the only concern to grow and get bigger
for the purpose of profit ( money). The Catholics and
other Christian denominations have flaws : especially
the Roman Catholic church the head of Satans Babilon-
ic system , just read apocalipsis or revelation what ever you want to call it .
These false teachers like in the moses era twist and convert the language of the people , and now they have a bunch of fanatics , so-called ( jehova witness )
who don’t even understand what they ‘re preaching .
How are you going “to obey someone” if ” you think your-self that one”.You are still in baby pampers and
you need not preach ,but look for guidence of the ( Holy
Spirit) workers of evil … That’s why so many are turning their backs to the Holy Spirit .You followers
of men! full of the spirit of perdition.
You might think the flesh is easy to defeat , the Spiri-
conqueres the flesh, just like Jesus defeated the flesh,
we receive the H /S and we conquer the flesh and God
when in his return receives us who have the H/S ,
That means the mark of God , not the mark of the beast .Those who are spiritual are of the spirit and …
If you really want a chance ask Jesus to come in your
heart and He the King will do so , not a bunch of so called Holly men Jesus is over all , and will give you the authority to be over all things. Mas que vencedores

Hi
Not surprised ur anonymous – unless someone hacked my security from Brazil you didn’t trace my IP to the same address!
This just reinforces to JW’s that all outside the org are liars – you are advancing their cause
I am actually an ex JW who has every reason to be bitter & twisted but hey I now have a fab life that I wouldn’t have had if the hypocrites hadn’t opened my eyes to what life as a jw was really all about.
But when I left I lost my family. I’m not disfellowshipped so they still exchange occasional pleasantries but despite having 2 degrees, a good career, having a strong family & generally being pretty nice, I am the one they are ashamed of.
I was just recognising that for some the cost of leaving is too high & if you squint alot you can actually live a very happy existence as a JW. If anyone wants to do that I may not agree that its a good idea but live & let live. It takes a huge amount of guts and sacrifice to leave – not everyone is strong enough to do it and some just aren’t willing pay the high price of losing everyone they love. That’s understandable if naive but doesn’t warrant a vicious attack.
rubens and vix are the same person. The IP address was traced. Here is another jw with bipolar desiase.
Rubens tu es um grande idiota, foste avisado varias vezes para nao vires a websites como este, se acreditas que as testemunhas the jeova sao a relegiao certa que fazes aqui burro idiota?
Reubens it sounds like you have a lovely family and it is great that they are still including you in their life apart from the spiritual aspects while you are disfellowshipped. I assume that you still live at home and have “normal’ parent that have interpreted the society’s counsel sensibly.
Unfortunately not all jw’s act this way, although I agree that the majority of the congregation’s members are warm, loyal and united in their efforts to serve their God well. I have lots of jw friends still but when I left even without being disfellowshipped cong members ignored me, crossed the road to avoid me and listened to my mother in law who’s fears that I would also leave my husband if I left the faith somehow turned into an elaborate ‘fact’ . We are still happily married. I knew people who asked their children to leave home when disfellowshipped and once out of the household never spoke to them again. This was called an act of love to bring them to their senses. Jesus on the other hand sought the company of ’sinners’ that was who he’d come to help, this seems in conflict with the jw teaching of disfellowshipping.
There are fundamental problems with the jw religion but for most jw’s this is not important. I say if it makes you happy go for it, get reinstated and fight the cause. Your family sound like they are worth burying your head in the sand for. There are lots of good things about life as JW – the absolute certainty of your path in life, the security of the companionship of the brothers and sisters and for lots of men they get to hold a position of respect and authority that they would never get outside of the organisation. I wish you much success, just keep an open mind and search the scriptures rather than the publications.
Why am I sayng I am from Brazil? because it doesnt matter how far JW are They teach the same thing .
that´s why you hate them so much you will never have such unity and Organization with your “Jesus” that dont preach God´s Kingdon nor go from house to house but support bushs war liars.
You opposers are liars.Your gas is hatred agains this holy peolpe of God.
My dream is to be part of them again to have the privilege of exposing false teaching as trinity ,hell of fire and imortal soul and to anounce of course Gods´s Kingdom and the end of liars!
All JW avoid me and dont greet me and when it happens I know why. because I have made some thing I should not. But my family talk to me normally ..not spiritual matters.JW are very different of Evangelical who tolerates practicers of sins.My english is not so good but enough to understand that in this site we seee a lot of liars and opposers of a system bible based and opposers of a unique Organization.I copuld never attack Baptist Church since they are not united in any way but they are separated in several different groups and different teachings. They dont have a uniform teaching as the JW have. But to attack JW …a singular and not a plurality of sects is easier.thjey are just one people and one faith.
Remember I am in Brazil you liars and opposers.I think I have more chance of salvation than you.I am strugling to change and achieve the moral standards they require based on the scriptures…but you are distant from the truth.
this site is a proof.A site that sometimes people think are a JW site and go to it with happiness but when here …OMG just opposers and liars. Its a lack of faith. You think God cannot see that … you opposers ?
I am a disfellowshiped one and I can assure you they avoid just spiritual matters within the family members not the rest of normal talks. The Elder is not liyng at all.
HE IS CORRECT AND OPPOSERS OF JW HERE ARE DOING THE VERY THING THEY SAY THAT ELDER DID:
YOU ARE TWISTING THINGS IF YOU SAY DIFFERENT.
THEY AVOID SPIRITUAL CONVERSATIONS ONLY WITH DISFELOWSHIPED ONES!
What a shame for you and your hatred against this organized people.Look at this elder´s responses and see how he behaves with respect and calmness.
I am a disfelooshiped from JW in Brazil and I say one thing.I am changing my mind and I have a hope of better future. Its helping me to avoid the pactice of sin.what the elder said is right.
So you are liar if you say he is wrong I am the proof.
so true non-jw, Jesus is the truth not the watchtower society
it is completely a sin to have a baby out of wedlock!! have you read the bible or been to any religious meetings be it jw or church? what have you read in the bible to make you think its ok to have a baby without being married? look at all the hardship women go through because they did not listen to God in the first place! I know! I had one out of wedlock and was reaping. i love my child and he is my blessing but i know how much more God would have blessed me if I had him while i was married. yes the girl should decide for herself what religious path she should follow but who are you to judge what she does or how she feels?! God will judge you for judging her!
Albeit that I tend to agree with some of the assessment that the aforementioned person maybe a little off base, I am in no way sharing your overall disposition. Interesting that you would make the claim others are out to lunch and hypocritical, as most of the JW clan to me are out to lunch. I was there, encountered a lot of strange people.
What’s so ironic here is how a JW will call someone strange or abnormal when they believe in a faith that is riddled with hypocrisy, stupidity, blood guilty & downright strange.
Consider how strange you are perceived by anyone that uses their head to do a little research on your religion:
1. Your religion as all the psychological attributes of a cult.
2. Hasn’t had one prophecy of its creation come true. Ever read what the bible says about false prophets?
3. Was affiliated with the United Nations as a NGO, yet hypocritically criticized the UN in its publications.
4. Charles Russell (faith’s founder) utilized pyramids when developing their original doctrines, which were really nothing more than reworked beliefs from other faiths.
5. The Governing Body of the Watchtower Society sat pathetically far away in their remote ivory tower allowing thousands to be persecuted in Malawi, yet condoned the practice of bribery in Mexico, what is that all about? Don’t worry we all know the answer to that one dear.
6. Personified the “Don’t Cry Wolf” story with their never-ending erroneous dates for Armageddon, which by the way would normally destroy any credibility of a given group/organization if you weren’t so brainwashed.
7. Has diluted Christ’s sacrifice by attempting (failing) to act as a mediator between man & God.
8. Promotes a culture of compassionless, stab your fellow “Christian” in the back as imperative in their fanatic attempt to ensure everyone tow the part-line.
9. The faith holds many meetings a week (another cult trait), yet hasn’t issued any new material in years. Need I mention brainwashing again?
Not only do you promote this lunacy; you actually have the gull to pull the straw out of your brother’s eye? Ever heard the term, those that live in glass houses shouldn’t throw rocks?
What I have typed above is not some emotional statements, no everyone is a fact. It is not borne of the nonsense that you would expect from the Watchtower & their legion of parroting followers.
Do yourself a huge favor:
OPEN YOUR EYES!!!
Apparently it is okay for the JW cult to shove their beliefs and agenda down everyone’s throat, correct? John makes a good point one that I not only share, its one that I practice as well. You believing that he is bitter, etc is irrelevant, as you are only another mindless JW who will simply banter the same lunacy from the Watchtower.
You are a tad bit angry, aren’t you? You are also “way off base” on your assessment of the Witnesses. I am a JW and I don’t hate you for being “happy”. People make mistakes. As far as being hypocritical, I think you should look in the mirror at yourself. Time to do some self-inventory on your anger and biases.
I feel for the woman and the story of her son and son’s GF. I really hope all turns out well for everyone concerned. I will pray for you, Mother.
No, you are wrong. Why would you want to help me since I don’t want your help. I think you are bitter, alienated, and ostracized. You call it kindness, but I call it “butting in” and forcing YOUR believes down my throat. I thought I had freedom of religion and freedom of speech. I guess that is only for you and your crew, though.
Has your wife already remarried or starting “seeing/knowing” someone in the Biblical sense? If so, many “may” consider your divorce now scriptual although not originally scriptural. Ask to talk it over with someone in your wife’s congregation.
they are crazy they are no better than any one else
Wow, the unsalaried Jehovah’s Witness took over the show single-handedly. One average fellow stood up for his Bible-based doctrine valiantly and successfully against a professional, college-educated lawyer. Could you do any better against this common man? Not likely. If it were the publisher of this website in the courtroom and questioning, no doubt they’d have to resort to symantecs moreso than this lawyer did, and add viceral emotionalism on top of it. So weak, lame, predictable, simple and transparent such ones are. Ugh!
Skip forward to 5:06:40, I think anyone of sound mind will agree that this is very likely to be a lie.
There IS a Custody packet. Quoting 1988 Yearbook of Jehovah’s Witnesses, pp. 28-29 : “In the United States, the Society’s Legal Department makes available to those Kingdom publishers facing a child-custody case a packet of information containing favorable legal decisions and suggestions on trial techniques.”
Until 5:06:40, the elder did not need to use full-blown theocratic strategy, just waffle and be evasive was all that was needed. (Don’t forget he is acting unmaliciously for a misplaced ‘higher good’ in order to further the ‘work’), but at this point in time full theocratic strategy had to be used, at 5:07:04.
Don’t forget that through a JW’s eyes the above comments are perceived as expected persecution. If one wants to know why, just do a little research on any destructive cult mindset, they will say that outsiders will take increasing steps to try to shake and undermine their beliefs and to be swayed is a weakness in faith.
Please do not make the elder into scapegoat. He is as much manipulated as the next JW. For instance, he appeared to geniuinely believe the quoted description of shunnng was ‘apostate material’ until it was pointed out that it was in fact a photocopy of Watchtower material. At that point forward, having discovered a doctrinal inconsistency, he finds himself in the position of personally defending Jehovah.
Notice in the video, that celebrating christmas and visiting Las Vegas is considered as bad as fornication with the devil. This is characteristic of the totalist mindset.
It is true that the things that go on in the JW org goes on in other religions (people leading double lives, child molestation, ex-communication). The reason they are so frequently and viciously attacked is because they put themselves out there as the only true religion and way to God. They point to their religion as the authority on God while all other religions are of Satan. If they choose to put themselves up in such a high regard, they deserve to be publicly ousted for all of their scandal.
Another thing – for those who joined as adults, they had the CHOICE of becoming one of JWs. For their children who were raised in it (me included), we had no choice. And that is why those individuals are so angry. Yes, there were some children like you who just never fell for the BS, but there were others like myself who truly believed it and have suffered the psychological consequences of believing it ever since.
Just because I didn’t have a detrimental effect on you does not mean that it didn’t devastate someone else. You were lucky.
I am a divorced man with a non-biblical divorce, not based on infidelity. I want to marry a baptised Jehovah’s witness. Can this ever be possible without her disfellowship? Please answer whatever is applicable. I do know most of the scripture, but it seems the policy of what is acceptable varies from each kingdom hall.
I was disfellowshipped when i was 18 I am now 45 my family still doesn’t speak. my mom and dad are both deceased now. I was always considered the low life of the family the black sheep I have 4 sisters and 1 brother out of them I have 1 sis and 1 bro that speaks. life is so hard and i’ve been so lonesome since I was 18. I have 2 daughters that didn’t grow up in the jw world they are very happy people they know God-Jesus and the holy spirit. how do you escape the saddness brought on by the jws? how do you move past the hurt? I grew up in a big family and now that my girls are grown my life is so lonesome. I never was active in any other church cause I trust no one except my girls-they both go to church and know God loves them. How do you get to there?
thank you

What you say is in fact a typical defense mechanism of the JW mindset; you probably don’t even realize that you are doing it becasue it is so ingrained.
The assumption that those who speak against this organization are “bitter” and “feel ostracised” is simply incorrect and is used to undermine their perspectives. The usual fact of the matter is that these individuals who have either left or been kicked out wish to help others from suffering in the same manner as they have suffered. There is nothing wrong with these motives, so please don’t read some ulterior motive into them.
The JW religion is unique today in it’s harsh and cruel treatment of former members and their families. It is an act of kindness, not bitterness, to help our fellow man avoid this situation.
I understand that some people who have been jehovah’s witnesses in the past, and were removed from the congregation now feel ostracised and bitter. But to act like these issues: ostracism, overpowering parents, sexual abuse, are unique to the organization of jehovahs witnesses is ridiculous. There are sick people of all faiths. There are fanatics of all faiths. The catholics who stand outside abortion clinics screaming at patrons. The islamics who commit murder and suicide in the name of their god, and so on. The fact that certain people have a personality type that causes them to take their beliefs to the extreme is an indvidual issue. not a religious issue. I was raised a jehovahs witness. I currently dont attend because i know i cant live up to bible standards the way i should. The same reason so many catholics only attend church on easter. Because they know that even a church that harbors child molesters would not approve of their overdrinking, fornicating, adulterous ways. So why go and pretend to be holier than thou knowing you’re not? There are many JW’s who lead double lives because they don’t want to be judged. BUt thats true of anyone who comes from a devout christian family. How many spanish and italian catholic women have parents who are still under the impression that they are virgins, because their daughters have never had the nerve to admit to them that they’ve fornicated? I know i can’t fool god. so i dont bother attending at this time. Tho i still know right and wrong. And not based on what a watchtower told me, but based on what i read in the bible itself. whether it be king james version, new world translation or other. The same principles apply in all. You’re either living by it or you’re not. Just because you can’t doesnt mean you should judge people who still try.
Im originally from Miamisburg, perhaps we know each other? Im no longer a JW either.
I think yr right my parents are jw i was disfellowshipped 4 yrs ago. i love my mum n dad. i choose to be cast out not being funny but us disfellowshipped people had the choice we all made our choice??? think about it??? we all know its the truth but the bottom line is we cant and dont want to live by jehovhs standerds. so do your self a favour n stop your moaning, i mean are you not happy we all choose our life but you lot seem so sad…. and yes go pick on other people.. i wont have anyone slag off jw’s go and do something usefull slag other religions off…
I totally agree with you. There are plenty of other issues that point to the fact that they are misled. We don’t need to try and make something from nothing.
I too was raised JW and didn’t have the best life. I currently attend the Chruch of Christ and love it. They are a simple bible based church and teach straight from the bible. There is nothing in the Bible that says we need all this extra literature to understand what the bible says as does the JW’s. Our relationship with God is personal and no one can judge our hearts nor should any man, whether it be an elder or overseer be able to disfellowship you. They are just people and have no authority over Christ’s Church!
In saying all of that, I have to say that JW’s are very nice and loving people and I believe that the majority of them truly believe that what they are being taught is truth and when they preach to you it comes from their hearts. But they are brainwashed and misled by the Watchtower and Awake Society or Governing Body!
I was raised a JW, I have left , to consider everything, before making any further judgement on it. I found this site for that reason. In watching this video, the elder is 100 % honest, accurate, and does not lie, in any way. To infer otherwise, is just ali itself.
Im not sure about th organization, but in this case, this video, you are off

I need advise/help. Our friends are JW. They have a 17 year old daughter who got pregnant by her JW boyfriend at 15 almost 16. Baby is now 14 months old, and the parents split up last October. I have known her family and her as a close friends for 5 years. She talks to me like a mother and confides in me as she can’t talk to her mum/dad.brother as they are JW. She split from her possesive boyfriend last October and now my son who is now 15.5 has fallen in love with her and her with him. Her loves her baby as his own and we, as a non JW family, love them to bits. She looks on us as normal.
The ex boyfriend has been harrassing her with up to 200 calls a day etc and she nearly had a breakdown so as a loving person I held her while she cried. She ask that I speak to her dad, who immediately went to the elders of his community. It has now really hit the fan.
Because her ex is not “in” due to what he did, she is, and all the punishment seems to have bounced onto her, he turned it away from himself by saying that she is in the relationship with my son, they have not slept together or anything, although she wants to more than my son and he wants to wait a bit but they are just like any normal teenagers. I feel all of a sudden she has become distant in the last two days and my son is absolutely heartbroken as am I. I love her as if she’s my own and her baby too. My son and I can’t eat, sleep and feel sick at the thoughts of her being trapped and sucked with her community. My heart is breaking and we now think her JW family will stop contact and we know this is not what she wants.
How can I help her as an individual and her and my son as young teenagers in love.
you are full of crap…
just because you know these verses does not make you holier ar correct
say thing from your heart..so not throw verses that you were brainwashed into memorizing.
YOU ARE NOT GOD…YOU ARE NOT CHOSEN.
Do something more productive..worship God on your own….do not work for that cult..!!
DITTO!!!
To Anonymous (Comment ID: 200435) – You go on giving us a big lecture on how we should not just look at particular scripture, but should have a look at many in order to understand it. At the end you quote only one verse (prov 4:7). What kind of an hypocrite are you???
It seems many times people take a scripture in the bible and say this is not so and tthat is not so because this one scripture says this or that. U have to take in all the scriptures on a particular subject not just one or two or some.Even more so for some harder to understand prophecies.
The bible contains a many stories that are found in diffrent scriptures in parts of the bible. To truly understand many scriptures u cant take one scripture by itself u have to take the pieces from diffrent parts of the bible and put them together then discern them to get the full meaning and
U have to take the whole into context to get the full understanding and meaning.
But studying the bible is not easy it takes time and commitment.
People say they dont belive in the Bible or religion but yet have the fully fully studied and read what the bible has to say and discern it? How can u know about anything.yes most people know the basics that the bible says there is a God that created and the devil,is against god. But have u read the details about them.
Proverbs 4:7 Wisdom is the prime thing .Acquire wisdom and with all that u acquire, acquire understanding.
I also was an former witness (elder/pioneer). The only waring i can give is to stay away from JW’S as far as possible. I now at first hand what they can achieve with there doctrines. They are no different the “the world”. As an elder a presided many comities and so i had a hand in the excommunication of several members, they where “guilty” of adultery, homosexuality, drug abuse, greed, fornication. Some of them practiced these “works of the flesh” for many years and still they where teaching from door to door and from the platform how we should conduct ourselves. I feel sorry for all the people who’s eyes have not been opened for the false teachings of the witnesses.
you have alot of good points but I beg to differ with you regarding a learning experience. This learning experience is very dangerous to your self esteem and family. All religions should be teaching some good things such as no adultry, honesty etc. This religion ruins families and kills. I have seen children die for those stupid beliefs, marriages destroyed, people losing their minds after horrible experiences. After my fellow jw let her only child die because of refusing a kidney transplant she went on drugs when the society announced”some new light”, (which they are famous for when they want to change the rules)…they then decided it wouldn’t be disfellowshipping grounds if one had a transplant, it would be up to the individual conscience… well how many died by then? I have seen brothers and sisters disfellowshiped for smoking..now how dumb is that…and no, I do not smoke. I don’t think God would keep you out of heaven for that…oh yes, but they don’t believe in anyone going to heaven unless you are of THE HEAVENLY CLASS.. They use to say, Jehovahs people are a happy people…ha ha. I was the most unhappy person while I was under their control. Do I sound bitter? yes, I am. I am mad at myself for being so dumb and madder at them for the garbage they teach…I can’t believe the things I have learned from a REAL BIBLE since I left that organization. I could tell you things I have seen, heard and experienced while I was brain washed. Down deep in my heart, I knew something was wrong and through much prayer and tears, I broke free and I have never been happier even though I have no family left. I have God and a new family of God fearing believers. I left an organization I didn’t leave God. They tried to bring me back back But after much research and Bible reading I became armed and dangerous to them with the word of God.. When I run into ANYONE who brings up the word Jehovah’s witness I tell them I have three words for them…RUN,RUN,RUN.
I am now considered and evil slave because I use to be one of them and now I tell everyone the truth about them. I will tell you this…there are going to be alot of Jehovah’s witnesses surprised when they die. Mary Roberts
I more thing…when I said have a family bible study…that means WITHOUT OTHER JW’s.
I was one of jw’s for over 30 years and so was my entire family except 2 persons. I was 18 when I was sucked in. You would be surprised to know that MANY jw’s don’t even know the jw background etc. They instill a fear in you that if you read or listen or accept anyone elses litature and take it in your home, you will be visited by demons etc. They want everyone else to take their literature, but they will refuse anyone elses. I can’t believe I was so dumb for so long. Here is some advise: Since your wife believes you are the head of the household then take control. Insist upon a “family bible study with examination of jw’s history”. The internet is your best friend and so is the library. start off by breaking down the authority of the watchtower society. Before each study, pray to the Heavenly father, creator of heaven and earth and in the name of Jesus. DON’T USE THEIR BIBLE. It is true they have left out and added words in place of others and believe me this will change the meaning of the scriptures and enforces their beliefs, you can even use serveral different versions, but not theirs. look up old watchtower and awake magazines showing they use to celebrate xmas, etc. They used to look to the pyramid for future. They use to say they were the prophets of God, until so many of their predictions didn’t come true, and in Duet. and other scriptures it tells what a false prophet is and they are it. Go to the christian book store and buy some books on their beliefs and books written by prior jw’s. DON’T LET YOUR WIFE KNOW YOU ARE TRYING TO DISECT THEM… Now you may not be able to control her regarding going to the kingdom hall, because they will teach her you are the head of the household unless it conflicts with Gods law, which means their teaching! But do not let your children get indoctinated. You do have control over them, she can go to the hall herself without your kids. Be very careful and don’t believe what they tell you, they love to twist things and seem to have an answer for everything, but you must also use your common sense…I wish I had run like hell when I was introduced to them. It is a cult. Get a book on what a cult is…they fit right in. While you are doing all this, don’t become angry. Treat your wife with extreme kindness and love. Appeal to her common sense and logic. God Bless you and my prayers are with you. Pray to God to set your wife free. Mary Roberts
