I realize English is not your home language, perhaps it is a dialect of Shona, which most mid African countries have dialects of. Read some good material, and despite what you are told they are good honest books without even a hint of Satan’s influence.

See if you can get hold of “Crisis of Conscience” by Ray Frans, a former high ranker at Bethel New York.

You will find and observe just as I did that you are making the Watchtower Society rich and they do not give a toss about you. They will gladly fuck up your whole family so that you can earn them a few cents a month.

Your answer is pure proof of a non-understanding or more likely a brainwashed person. You are told or dictated to that we are born in sin because of the myth of Adam and Eve. In other words we must die because Adam or rather Eve ate of the forbidden fruit. This is very clear in the JW and most Christian dogma. Now what part of Deut 24:16 do you NOT understand?
The scripture reads: Fathers should not be put to death on account of children, and children should not be put to death on account of fathers. Each one should be put to death for his own sin.
Which part of CHILDREN SHOULD NOT BE PUT TO DEATH ON ACCOUNT OF FATHERS do you not understand? It says oh so clearly that if Adam fucked up, we cannot be punished.
I am not making this up, read your Bible and draw a conclusion. Be honest, the text speaks for itself, now go to your elder where you will be told some dogmatic horsecrap which you will immediately believe because you have this cowardly and absurd notion that you are going to live forever and we will die like rats in a flooded basement just like in the myth of Noah.

I’m 35 yrs old and am finally in therapy as well. Years over due. I was df’d when I was 22/23. When I read what you wrote I felt like it was something I had written….

I’m just starting to make my own decisions and to grow up. I too have struggled with addictions. Last year was the first time I understood how old I was. It’s a hard reality.

My father died when i was 14 (I watched it happen-sledding accident) and mom 9 months after I was df’d for telling on myself again. My mom trained me to view them as telling my dad whatever I did wrong. I told myself, I’d rather be punished now then later…. and I wasn’t a bad kid. I realise now just how normal and actually innocent I was…. they stole that from me.

I can still hear the elder Brother Selesky say “I don’t want to have to tell your father why you aren’t here” (new system). What a nice thing to tell a 15 yr old child. Talk about a guilt trip to be perfect.

Who in that cruel religion reached out to help me or my mother BEFORE I was df’d? Who stepped up in the JW’s and looked after widows and orphans?

One man would talk to me at meetings until ppl started talking… I viewed him as a male father figure… He told me at one meeting “People are talking, my wife is jealous, we can’t talk like we used to and we can’t go out in service together anymore. I’m sorry…” He’s the only one who secretly reached out to me after mom died. He was a good man.

I could go on and on and on about things Elder’s wifes said about me…. One example – Working at the kingdom hall after service (or the meeting) one afternoon I helped plant trees. Some of the kids said keep patting down the dirt, harder, harder… so I did. (I lived w/3 other sisters). I didn’t see that it had just been watered then covered with dirt. Tom Emerson’s wife said “she deserved it (my foot got covered in mud of course) if she’s that stupid.” I heard her say that. I was ok, I’m a big girl, I can take a joke… until I heard her say that about me. After cleaning myself up, crying in the bathroom, I got over it and went back outside to paint I believe it was.

I’ve been stumbled so many times by my brother who refuses to let me meet his 4 yr old son, etc. etc. I may just write a book.

I put names here because I would love for them to read this (if they are googled-how i found this page) and have to remember.

Those People were my family.. and that story is alll wrong. It upsets me that people would tell such lies about the death of individuals.
The real story was.. this…

They were common law, meaning.. never offically married.

Neither were jehova’s witness. We are all christian people.
Sharoll USED to work for Avon but was a supervisor for the company HEAP!
John a.k.a Julio was a truck driver.

Julio (my uncle) and Sharoll (my aunt) had been separted 2 yrs. The had a history of domestic violence, but they were together 15 yrs so no one suspected it to end in such tragedy.
After 2 yrs Julio still wouldnt take no for an answer. We all just thought they really loved each other

Sharoll’s daughter, my cousin got a phone call from one of sharoll’s co workers, saying that she hadnt come to work. That of course was odd because she never missed a day of work and LORD knows she was never late.

My cousin decied to drop what she was doing to go check up on her mother, which they had a very strong bond.

When my cousin got there.. it was a blood bath!! She saw both of them DEAD.
She panicked and ran downstairs to the nearest police car, which was parked in front of the building.

After investigation it was stated that there had been a struggle and it was concluded that Julio shot my aunt twice and then shot himself.

After speaking with my cousin she explained to me that there was a man who was interested in her mother. One day this man called her mother and left her a message on her answering machine. The message was a bible verse.
It just so happens that Julio was in the house that day and heard the message while it was being left.
Julio became enraged and decided from that point on that he was going to end her life. JEALOUSY overcame this man.

After speaking to several of julio’s co workers, it was concluded that he began to plan this murder. He would go to work crying, devastated. Telling his co workers that he lost the love of his life to another man. He even suggested to one of them that maybe he should just kill her so noone else can have her.

BEING THAT THEY HAD BEEN SEPARATED, IT IS FAIR TO CONCLUDE THAT THERE WAS NO CHEATING INVOLVED IN THIS STORY. I WILL NOT HAVE MY AUNTS NAME DRAGGED THROUGH THE MUD, OVER SOME NEIGHBORS LIES.

Anyway, the end result was that he waited for Sharoll outside her door. He knew exactly what time she would leave for work. Once she came outside, he dragged her inside, locked the door and dragged her into the room. He proceeded to threaten her life. He had a small gun. He carried it in a party bag.
He shot her twice in the face. He couldnt bare with what he did, that he tried to kill himself. He was soo nervous that he actually needed 2 hands to successfully pull the trigger, investigators said.

My whole family was devastated by this act of selfishness.
We just can not understand how a man who has claimed to love a woman for 15 years can turn around and take her life. How he can just take her away from her 2 daughters.(from a previous husband) Her two daughters who adored her.These 2 girls that actually loved him because he pretty much raised them. Her two daughters who felt that without her, they were nothing.
Julio also had a daughter (from a previous wife) and 4 granchildren, who loved him very much.
Julio’s mother, My grandmother, still untill this day cannot accept what happened.
Our familes have broken apart over this tragedy.
Sharoll was 39, she had a full life ahead of her.
WHY? is all we can ask ourselves!! as we try to move on.

P.s. If you ever hear someone say they feel like killing someone, please dont keep it to yourself. You can save soemones life, by doing the right thing.

By using lies and trickery, Satan the Devil caused Adam and Eve to disobey God. (Gen 2;17, 3:6) As a result, they eventually died as God had said they would if they disobeyed. (Gen 3-17-19) Since Adam became imperfect when he sinned, all his offspring inherited sin from him. This might be illustratred with a baking bread pan. If the pan has a dent in it, what happens to each loaf baked in it? They have a dent or an inperfection in them. So each of us has inherited a “dent” of imperfection from Grandpa Adam and that is why we grow old and die. Satan was really leading a rebellion, in effect saying God is a Bad ruler. Since all of God’s creations were perfect, who made this DEVIL, this SATAN? To put it simply, ONE OF THE POWERFUL SPIRIT SONS OF GOD TURNED HIMSELF INTO THE DEVIL. How? Today a person who was once decent and honest may become a thief. How? The person may allow a Powerful wrong desire to develop in his heart. If he KEEPS THINKING ABOUT IT, that wrong desire may become very strong. Then if the opportunity presents itself, he may act upon the bad desire that he has been thinking about. Apparently this is what happened to the spirit person that became Satan the Devil. Possibly he heard God tell Adam and Eve to have children and to fill the earth. Possibly Satan reasoned : Why, all these Humans could worship and serve me rather than God. So a wrong desire built up in his heart. Eventually he took action on his desire by telling Eve LIES about God. He thus became a DEVIL which means a Slanderer. At the same time he became SATAN which means opposer.

Greetings Melik, I am not sure whether you are new to this site or not, however I personally appreciate your sentiments above. Being in any cult especially from a young age suppresses natural development. Most psychologists agree simply because the strong influences and/or control exerted by this religion are to contain & manipulate a given person’s ability to think freely & enjoy individuality. Despite these traits of freedom being commonplace among normal people/environments, they are not tolerated in any form within control groups that meet or exceed the definition of a cult. The Watchtower Society and any JW will even crazily defend the idea that they are not a cult, however if you were to study the psychological identifiers for such practices, you will quickly determine that they are indeed a cult.

My family has & still is enduring endless suffering within their relationships, financially, and dealing with a lack of love & compassion. Thankfully I do not suffer these dilemmas, much of this is the fact that I was lucky enough to leave before I got married in the religion and had a family while still there. Once you have a mate and children all involved with this false religion, it is much harder to leave, even if the person realizes how wrong the faith is. Research, praying & soul searching have revealed to those people that this religion is false and unchristian, however you don’t wish to hurt the ones you love.

While we have had many JW’s post comments that are quick to judge & call us apostates (a term they are clueless about), they frankly just don’t know anything else. These JW’s suffer from the inability to feel others pain & suffering, unless the Watchtower/elders told them to feel a certain way. That is why it is so easy for them to dismiss any idea outside of what they have been indoctrinated to believe. After all, how many normal people would callously dismiss people who have suffered without even listening to their story or getting to know their plight?

Melik we are with you brother, stay with us and do not let these people bring you down. Just remember that despite many JW’s trying to guilt-trip ex-JW’s into confessing sins, even if you didn’t do any, they are the ones that owe us & all of humanity an explanation of their sinful conduct. The Watchtower Society is nothing more than a false prophet, whereby they have messed up many lives in the name of their ill-conceived & ridiculous agenda. We are not to blame for this man-made pompous organization, filled with self-importance.

You got to be kidding me… I lived at home with my parents until I liberated myself at age 15. Everyday of my life at home that religion was forced down my throat along with the fear that if I did not do as I was told to I would be DESTROYED!!! What do you call that?
Everyone that I grew up with in the Kingdom Hall are so twisted and confused… Everyone! I’ve seen friends of mine thrown out of their parents homes because they choses Islam, Budda, or just plain spirituality. IS that not force? Maybe you have a diffrent definition than I do…

You know… I grew up in a JW family. At 35 years old I am still growing up. Why? Because the JW organization
encourages their followers to prepare for armagedon and not for living life here and now. I know that the doctrines I grew up with stunted my growth both metally and emotionally, and made me ashamed of my sexuality for a very long time. Because of the high expectaions that were placed on me as a child, I developed several mental illnesses including addiction.
Two failed marriges and a trail of broken relationships. I am now in therapy, I have more realistic goals and I have gotten rid of the Demons that I created in my own mind, that were used to make me be good or else.
If anyone reading this grew up as a JW , do you remember anyone saying to you “The demons will grab you and never let you go if you don’t do this or that or if you do this or that” All I know is now that I have freed myself from that indoctrination my life has been more scerine than ever. My girlfriend was molested by her JW father and has many issues with intimacy to this day. He has not as of yet been penalized. Where is the truth in that?
