Moscow Police detains Jehovah's Witnesses during the Memorial of Christ's Death
“They burst in at the height of the service, when the symbols were being passed,” Kanin, the spokesman of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia said, referring to the bread and wine used to symbolize Jesus Christ’s body and blood. “They wouldn’t even allow them to finish the ceremony. There was nothing secretive going on there.”
The Memorial was attended by about 200 Jehovah’s Witnesses. The police, who arrived in 10 squad cars after Moscow citizens reported the meeting, detained 14 Jehovah’s Witnesses and questioned the detainees between two and four hours before they were released.
The police told the worshipers that they were violating a 2004 ban on Jehovah’s Witnesses in Moscow.
In June 2004, the Moscow City Court barred the denomination from engaging in religious activities, citing a law that bans religious groups deemed to incite hatred or intolerance.
Kalin, the spokesman of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, said the ban applied to Jehovah’s Witnesses only as a legal entity and that the Russian Constitution guaranteed members freedom of assembly.
The U.S. State Department’s 2005 report on religious freedom, released in November, said that “some federal agencies and many local authorities” in Russia “continued to restrict the rights of various religious minorities” and cited specifically the 2004 ban of Jehovah’s Witnesses activities in Moscow.
The report cited “indications that the security services, including the Federal Security Service, increasingly treated the leadership of some minority religious groups as security threats.”
Criticism concerning the lack of religious freedom has been repeatedly dismissed by government and Russian Orthodox Church officials.
There are about 10,000 Jehovah’s Witnesses in Moscow and 142,439 in whole Russia, according to Watchtower statistics.

Jezus mentions to keep our light shining when he returns from Heaven and ALL who will follow him will be saved and he will fight the God of this World along with his followers.
We All are blind and idiots as we keep continueing doing what this God of this World wants us to do, slander and hammer our own human existince and attack each other to prove that we are better humans than the other human beens. Take for example the two religions Demcrats and Republicans, both will let us know that the are better then the other one. All Religions are made by the God of this World. No Religion has been made by Jezus right now on Earth. All Religions could be said off that they are cults in existence of Human proudness. Do you really believe that we as humans are not able to find lots of wrong in every single Religion. Your blinded by the God of this World if you think your religion is the correct one. Otherwise there is still hope for you and Jezus will be able to take our shell from our eyes.
The strenght in our human existence is not being individual but conquer the God of this World by all means with good and only we can conquer Evil when Human mankind is solidair and tolerant with each other willing to do good and extinc evil. Being constructive is giving positive thinking in this our days while being destructive leads only to you know what. “Jesus said give Ceasar what is for Ceasar but give God what is for God”. It is common sense to report to our authorities if we see evil happening and do the right (good) thing that Jesus or God (Iam…) is expecting from us even if our own organized religion wants to cover it up.

Where is the unlawfulness of the JW org here on pediphiles? Just because they didn’t pass out names and addresses of alleged pediphiles in there org don’t mean there conspiring anything. Did Jesus say only some sinners can be forgivin or did he pick and choose the sins? All religions have a few bad apples even Jesus had Judas. There are thousands of convicted child molestors out there many that are not Jehovah Witnesses but are Priests and members of other churches so to try and condemn an intire religion based on the independent bad acts of a few is rediculas. If The JW religion was teaching that child molestation is ok then you can hold the religion at fault but the fact is nothing in there teachings support this type of behaviour and furthurmore if your child is molested and you don’t call the law your breaking the law so next time call the cops and not a elder if theres a crime.

I was hoping that someone who studies a WTS bible would have questioned you or at least started a debate on the translation of John 1:1. Much to my chagrin, that was the first scripture that came up when I tried to show proof of Jesus’ position before He came to earth. No matter how I tried, I could not shake their position.
