A man filmed the announcement of his Disfellowshipment made by two Jehovah’s Witness elders who came at his door. Watch the video!

About Disfellowshipping
Excommunication or Disfellowshipping is an extreme form of shunning practised by Jehovah’s Witnesses. A disfellowshipped person is not to be greeted either socially or at meetings and is often shunned by family members. Jehovah’s Witnesses regard Disfellowshipping as a biblically-sanctioned means of bringing the wrongdoer back into the congregation and protecting other Witnesses against evil.

lots of hate for a group of people who only try to get you to read the bible and open your heart to god. teach you war is bad, killing is bad, sex before marriage is bad, drugs are bad, smoking is bad, hatred and all evil is not the way to go. hmmm, who do they think they are, caring about others and what might become of them…come on now. i had gone from childhood to teens and never got baptized or really wanted to go . i had to because my parents made me. but i no longer go because i just don’t want to. i do however have been wanting to really try to get in gods good eye because life seems to be getting really bad out there. when i was growing up we were not told to stay away from relatives or friends who were not witness’s but were told to not be influenced as to fall pray to the worlds wicked ways if in fact they were not living in gods ways. nothing wrong with that, temptation can do that we are weak, the flesh is weak and you have to try to stay focused. they never taught hatred about other religions, they did show there teaching by scriptures that explain there way of living. i have on my own accord had conversations with people of other religions and to find that they base their beleif on a single scripture where i could find numerous that said differently and they had gone out on a linb to make seem as that it is what it ment. doesn’t really mean there bad or evil but there gonna wanna try to help you because they are really concerned for all people. anyways what it comes down to is that the haters towards them just don’t want to be “goody goody” and do what they want. just remember eve was tjhe same way and used her “goodies” to persuade adam to do what god says was not right. look where it got us. troubled world with so many questions and an empty feeling in our hearts that life is more than just money and material things. i think if you love others and try to be good and not hurtful with or without religion - your a ok in my book. but it couldn’t hurt to get on the good side of the big G just in case the scriptures are truley his word and we need to be living his way or the highway. i just wish we had visible proof of it all being the real deal, would ease the second guessing. life can get crappy…. ..i listen to the beatles and everything gets better… :) the love that you give is equal to the love you get

I also wanted to add that:

There are some people that grow up with Parents or family members that are JW’s but they decide that the way of life is not for them. I have family members who grew up JW’s but do not live as that now. We do not shun them because they don’t believe what we believe. That is their decision to make. JW’s doesn’t make any one join the congregation. Just as God doesn’t make people serve him. In fact they encourage people to read their bibles, to research and to pray to God for guidance. You can not just walk in off the street and get baptized into the organization. If you investigate and decide that it is not right for you. Then that is your choice. However, the best thing to do is to investigate for yourself that way you can make an informed decision as to what the Organization teaches and is about. That is what I did.

Michelle, from you second post i can see you are full of shit.

YES JW’S SHUN PEOPLE WHO LIVE THE ORG. and for you to believe otherwise you are full of dog poop.

My wife and I left about 7years ago. None of us were disfellowshipped. I in fact was part of a judicial committee and when the other 2 elders let an abuser who by the way had been brought to our attention many times before during the previous 5 years. The other 2 elders though it would be better not to disfellowship the person in order not to create a bad name for the congregation. I could not stand for the hypocrisy anymore a disagreed, when they (because there were 2 against 1) decide to have their way, I walked out of the meeting and vowed to never return. Non of the witnesses talk to us, my mother in law has not talked to me my wife or son since. And you have the nerve to say jw’s don’t shun? Please wake up my friend. You are in serious denial.

thats what any brainwashed person would say. the jw. are taking my mother from my family and i hope i have the strength to not make them pay for what they are doing, you know, they way any man would make someone pay for harming thier mother. I would be willing to kill someone if they were trying to kill my mom, so if you are brainwashing her to not assosiate with my non jw lifestyle then you might as well be killing her because you are taking her from my life, and i will kill you for that. YOU FUCKING CULT

II am a disfellowshipped JW,

While I am not currently a part of the congregation, I don’t feel any hatred towards them. I basically was raised in the truth although both my Parents were disfellowshipped when I was younger. I have read the bible. I know what the bible says and I pretty much know what JW’s teach. My opinion of JW’s is that they are for the most part decent people (not perfect) who are very self sacrificing and are trying to live in harmony with what the bible teaches. Are there some people in the congregation who are living a double life and who are not practicing what they preach? Unfortunately, there are. However, that doesn’t mean that as a whole they are not good people. I think the best way to get to know anything about an Organization is to investigate them for yourself and to see what you find and not take anything at face value. I went through the disfellowshipping procedures and during those procedures I never once felt disrepected, berated or demonized. If I was treated that way I would not be trying to make an earnest effort to return to the congregation today. I didn’t take it personally! I didn’t feel as though they were rejecting me. I personally commend them for standing up for what they believe in. Today I am a better person for the experiences that I have had. I know that God loves me unconditionally and because I made a thorough investigation of what they believe and teach I can proudly say that I believe that they are Gods People.

Michelle when you say you were raised in the truth, do you mean the troof? What is this truth you talk about? Does that mean that jw’s have the truth and the rest do not? Truth according to whom? Some other jw’s?

Ok so jw’s are for the most part decent people (not perfect). what about the rest of the human beings? Are they not also for the most part decent people?? What are these sacrifices jw’s do?? Go to 5 meetings a week and sell literature for the mighty WT?

All other religions on this earth are trying to do what the bible says, and jw’s are no different! Not special for sure. I/or the majority of us here don’t need to investigate anything about the jw’s religion. If you paid attention you would have notice that most of us were there at one point or another in our lives. Some of us were in fact ministerial servants and elders and got fed up with the way the cult works. Most jw’s think they are working for Jehovah when in fact they work for the watchtower. One has nothing to do with the other!

You claim that God loves you unconditionally, does that mean that you do not have to be a jw to have that unconditional love? I sat on many judicial committees and believe we can be intrusive, blunt. If you did not experience that good for you. However, you should do a search on the web and find how many people had very bad experiences when disfellowshipped.

Looking forward to your answer.

Your god Joe-over has been on a long sleep, there are people who actually think he fell from a cloud and broke his/her neck. After you clowns predicting the end of the world for over 200 years without any success what really makes you believe that the end is just around the corner?
Stop being such a shit head and use your brain for a change. You are in a cult that just wants control over you and your money. Been there done that, however now I use my brain.

Ok so we lack humility. You on the other hand luck good judgment!

When Jehovah shuts this thing down, (this system) Boy O Boy how you will have wished you had stuck with his organization. The sad part is, you KNOW it in your mind and heart, but you lack humility.
