However, the question has arisen, "Who truly is 'the faithful and discreet slave' from a legal point of view?" All one needs to to is look inside JW publications and see who owns the copyright to the 'spiritual food'. This and other evidence from the Society's own publications reveals who this legal entity is, even if they try to deny it: "Quoting from the Charter: 'The purposes of this Society are: To act as the servant of and the legal world-wide governing agency for that body of Christian persons known as Jehovah’s witnesses;'" (Watchtower 15 December 1971, page 759) "They have a legal organization known as the Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society of Pennsylvania. This organization they use as a servant or steward to plan their activity and to provide them with spiritual food." (JW yearbook 1970, page 64) So, the Governing Body of JWs is really the representative of the CORPORATE 'slave/servant/steward' whose identity is the Watch Tower Bible & Tract Society of Pennsylvania, and NOT 'the anointed' as JWs think!
