i am not a jw but have studied with them in the past, it kinda makes me sick to think that all these lies are being put on some people and im just a 15 year old. kid most people see teenagers as people who dont really care about religion. these are kind people and they dont say non of the lies most people say about them. the human brain tends to look at the darkside of the picture when they should also look at the bright side. i have studied the catholic church, Mormons, Muslims, and jw as well as many other forms of christainity. i have also seen alot of false profits who use gods word for money, also the bible states that the path to salvation is narrow while the wrong path is wide, this does not mean we cant be saved if we study gods word. but out of all the religions i have been to i have to say theres something different about jws, i mean the fact that they are nonprofit, there religion is free and they preach the word of god is just amazing. Jesus said to preach the word of god and that’s what they do, Jesus never forced people to give him money, and these people run on donations not stupid basket handouts and they don’t do none of the crazy things that i have seen in other churches, and they don’t call themselves perfect so you better think with logic a little bit here because if your reading this and have never compleatly read the bible then why are you even judging these people? do yourself a favor go read the bible, open your eyes a little, and then come back and try to find a way to surprise me cause truth is, your just a plain old hater.

How can I help my family understand the truth if they won’t even acknowledge I exist? I resigned 10 years ago and lost everyone.

My comment is on eduction. what JWs emphasize a balance in your life while putting preaching work first. If higher education will interfere with your work, it is best that you go for other options or alternative higher learning. this is just the same as someone with a goal in life. one would avoid getting involved in things that will alter their focus from pursuing their goal. It is not entirely true to say that JWs absolutely discourage higher education. The focus is on making the right choice in life. There are many witnesses today who are well educated without having left the kingdom truth at one point in their lives. I conquer with someone who said be open minded and do not lean on your own understanding. Worse, lean on what you hear from other people. JWs have never claimed o be perfect neither have they claimed that they do not fall into the same pitfalls facing mankind today (teenage pregnancies, fornication, adultary etc). they try to show how these have bad consequences which everyone can attest too in abundance. The advice I give is that you start a home bible study, then you will understand bible based truths. these truths have evidence of course.
On birthdays, Yes indeed, it is true that we do not have any account of Jesus celebrating his birthday if it were so important to him. Beside, birthdays should be celebrated by family members with just a few people invited for the occasion. Logically Joseph and Mary could have at one point in Jesus’ life prepared such an invitation by inviting a few of their their friends and Jesus’ age mates to come and celebrate his(Jesus) birthday. So, it is only logical that this celebration is not a priority and should not be a priority in our lives. It indeed not important. What Jesus did most was preach, one could say from door to door, which is what JWs do.
By the way, JWs go preaching on most worldly holidays as they use those holidays as an opportunity to make up on time lost to preach to the needy. Again here it would appear you are spreading falsehood about JWs and worldly holidays, specifically that JWs enjoy Christmas day with you.
Basically, the issue about higher education is to avoid thinking that the bible teaching is so basic and not worthy of studying. How many of you who are so rich will even remember to pray to Jehovah God before your every meal? At that point, you all feel everything that you have you have rightly earned it, at your disposal to enjoy, you are in control. Yet you may just be having your last enjoyment and have no say over the matter. Very sad indeed. the kingdom hope is what keeps witnesses so full of life despite threats by some medical Doctors who may try to entice a JW to accept blood in any form or manner. JWs are not afraid of death. they look forward to it for the righteous will be risen from their memorial tombs. Like someone already said, be open minded and perhaps you too may be served. most of all do not base issues on your own understanding.The bible is very clear on everything raised. let those with ears hear!

It’s not right to tell anyone that they are chosen for eternity because they are part of the 144,000. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved! It has been my case that I was brought up catholic and have acquaintances that are JW, Muslims, Mormons and and so forth. The truth can never be hidden! I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ who created heaven and earth and all things! He alone can save and give eternal life! We have been deceived by our own mankind. Starting with Adam and Eve, the fall of mankind. There is always a way to speak the truth without judgement, reserve judgement for the Lord for He is truth. I am very blessed that the Lord has sent a clear witness and have been a Christian for now five years and I will see His glorious face in heaven! God Bless!

They do not celebrate Dec 25 but enjoy that day because is a national holiday and nobody works. They should go to work on that day.

@Percy If you have blood transfusion, will the JW's still fellowship with you? Answer: NO. Then they will justify that by saying you are not a follower of Jehovah. In Christian faith, we preach the Bible but its up to that person to obey or not. Fellowship remains even to people that falters.
